Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

Anyone else stuck between picking NYU and another school? I got into Adelphi and NYU accelerated nursing program. The Adelphi program starts in 2 weeks and is going to cost me half of NYU's tuition ?. But then again NYU is NYU.. ughh I have two days left to send my NYU deposit. I don't know what to do. Anyone know job prospects for both schools?

I feel like it doesn’t matter where you go. you’re still gonna end up as a nurse, especially now. nurses are always high in demand. if I were you, I’d choose the school that doesn’t cost much. the only reason why I’m waiting for nyu is bc I’m stupid to apply to only one school. if I had another option, I’d go with that one.

I had the same thought and exact words NYU is NYU LOL but I ended up deciding for SUNY Downstate and it also starts in 2 weeks. Total cost of the program is like 1/4 of NYUs total and I haven’t even heard back from NYU yet so I decided for Downstate and honestly don’t regret my decision.

Honestly, I don't think it goes by GPA cause my undergrad GPA is 3.3 and my prereqs GPA is 3.86. But, I could be wrong
