Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Here's my stats:

Physio: A-

Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Chem for health sciences: C+

Nutrition: A

Stats: C

Lifespan dev: B

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

Yeah I don’t think I’m hearing back anything today

they are but cant accept more until those accepted submit they want to go. I know 2 people who applied the day of the deadline with no letters or anything nothing and got in

what the ...... how do they decide who gets in. so strange

I just think the ones they really really want in the beginning will be notified already or have already been notified

Does anyone know the total cost of NYU's Absn program? How much is the tuition? Is going to NYU more beneficial vs. going to another Absn program in the city at a lower price? I would really appreciate any feedback.

The breakdown of cost is listed on NYU college of nursing website. No one will tell you 100% if it's beneficial or not, most of the nurses I know say it doesn't matter what school you go to, on the other hand a lot of people say it's very easy to find a job placement after graduating from NYU due to the high volume of hospitals they work with. If you believe in yourself I think you can do just fine by going to another school with lower cost.

Hi everyone

I have been reading this forum and others for so long in fact last year! It’s a little surreal to post this, but I just got an email that there was a change in my profile and was accepted So it doesn’t just happen on Fridays! Best of luck to everyone still waiting!

stats: not sure exactly honestly although I hope this gives those who aren’t perfect 4.0’s some hope -

SGPA I think 3.2, GPA 3.4

I got A&b’s in all pre reques except Microbiology I got a C and in Human Bio.

I am a nursing assistant at a hospital here in NYC and was President of a club in undergrad, volunteered as a health educator. Used that in my application and personal statement 3 letters of rec one professor, my manager and a doctor
