Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

My friend with a relatively low GPA applied in December last year and got his acceptance end of May.
What was your friend’s GPA, out of curiosity? Because 3.3 is a good GPA to have. I feel like your chances are still pretty high.

his was 3.2 but I'm afraid it's more competitive this year. Hopefully I'm wrong. I already got rejected from Stony Brooke and Downstate.

yea I agree. 3.3 is a good GPA. mine is borderline 2.7 so I’ll be lucky if they decide to accept me. I thought GPA doesn't really matter that’s why I applied

I think the science GPA matters more than the undergrad GPA. I wouldn’t get down about it. A plethora of people have been accepted with different profiles.
