NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2020

Published

Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Here's my stats:

Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Physio: A-

Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Chem for health sciences: C+

Nutrition: A

Stats: C

Lifespan dev: B

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

For those whose checklist disappeared, when did you submit your app?

I submitted right before the priority deadline, on February 27th, but they didn't receive my official transcript until March 13th.

I applied on 03/01 but I did receive an email on 03/10 saying they still didn’t get my transcript so they couldn’t review my app

I submitted my app before the priority deadline, March 1. However, I received an email about a missing pre-req around March 18. I signed up for a new class and got my approval from admissions. Shortly after I linked that class to an appropriate school (3/30), my checklist disappeared (it was probably within like 24 hours).

Wondering if that is a good or bad sign. Any inclinations?

@sigtime I'm pretty sure it just means they're reviewing our applications, can go either way now

guys what is albert? is that the applicant portal?

It's resources for NYU students, like with financial aid, housing payments, transfer credits, etc. If you Google NYU Albert, it'll take you to the page to login. You can click 'view application status' on there, but all that does is give you a pop up to sign in to the application page LOL

Albert is the application that will tell you if you were accepted or not. For those of us who had our checklist disappear, it happened on Albert.

My checklist disappeared on the applicant portal page. When I logged in to the Albert page I got a blank white page with some writing and a blue link to redirect me back to the applicant portal page.

Pretty sure that’s Albert because when I click on Albert it leads me to my application status page. That’s the only place I can access it.

One can take you to the other but I don't think they are the same. None of my emails from NYU told me about the Albert page, anyways. I learned about it from this forum.
