Nyu Accelerated BSN spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone! I made this thread in order to find everyone is also also planning on applying NYU accelerated nursing program. The application for the spring opens on October 1st and I am so excited! :)

Hey guys, I have a question for those who already accepted to the program. Did they send you the evaluation of your classes? Also I can see this option online (transfer credits) but mine is still empty there, even though I received my decision in the beginning of November.

My friend was accepted to the NYU Traditional Program, and they sent her an evaluation form within the first package. So I am just wondering if I missed something and need to contact NYU admission office?

Mine is still empty and I received my admission decision the first day they went out.

Realdream and B0816, thank you for your responses!

does anyone mind sharing the gpa when they applied to the program? I'm applying to the RN-BSN program which is actually a little easier to get in so even if you applied to the fast track it might be somewhat helpful for me to know my chances. I have a 3.38 gpa. They said they accepts 50% into the RN-BSN program so I'm thinking I have a pretty good chance. I really want to live in NYC.

You are welcome, I'm just waiting to get my class schedule.... I wonder what hospital I'll be in;) did you get your uniform yet? Where do we order shoes? Separately?

Still haven't gotten a decision, I'm really hoping this week! But I feel at this point it's a denial if people are already picking classes and clinical sites, etc. ):

People were picking classes in November already, the later u get in the later u do it that's all.. but yeah it isn't fun to stay not knowing.. but I tht you didn't like the school after visit anyway?

I'm declining my offer! hopefully one of you guys will take my spot!

You get your shoes online or in store and they can be any brand long as they follow the NYU guidelines for nursing shoes. White leather and non-porous This gives you idea the type of of nursing shoes you get Slip resistant shoes for medical professionals and beyond.

Make sure to try them on before buy them online. It give you idea if you prefer clogs or athletic/walking shoes

I wear Saucony Pro-intergrity walking shoes during 3 to 5 hour volunteer shift in ER and shoe provide support during shift and when just walking

Clogs is not option for nursing shoes according to uniform guidelines

For those still waiting, I felt the same pain last go around. I got a "yes" decision close to 8 weeks after the notifications began.

Also, we are all in a "cohort" and will take the same classes and have the same class schedule. They auto-register you for everything. The only thing that is different is your clinical days and location. So don't worry about there not being room in a class. Have faith. NYU does this twice a year and it is always a long process because they really "review" applications.

Good luck!

Hey guys! Anyone get a decision today? Also for those who applied for Spring did anyone else have Fall 2014 listed in their Albert application status page? That concerns me that mine now says that. Let me know!
