Hello everyone! I made this thread in order to find everyone is also also planning on applying NYU accelerated nursing program. The application for the spring opens on October 1st and I am so excited! :)
Hey guys, I have a question for those who already accepted to the program. Did they send you the evaluation of your classes? Also I can see this option online (transfer credits) but mine is still empty there, even though I received my decision in the beginning of November.
My friend was accepted to the NYU Traditional Program, and they sent her an evaluation form within the first package. So I am just wondering if I missed something and need to contact NYU admission office?

First, it is never a bad idea to contact NYU anyway, you get better answers. One of the letters said that accelerated students shouldn't try to attempt to check "transfer credit" portal. Have no idea what that meant but mine is also empty.
Good luck everybody! I'm a May 2012 graduate of this program... (Well, I was a traditional student who entered the college of nursing as a freshman, but those of you who attend will learn that we all take the same classes, and take them together.) I loved this program! I'm accepted into anesthesia school so I guess I'd say it prepared me exceptionally well for the nursing world as I graduated and scored an ICU position immediately! Congrats to those accepted
Hey guys, I've been following these posts and wanted to chime in and let you know I have been denied. Got the email yesterday and although I was VERY disappointed, I am not giving up hope and going to keep applying to other schools. Just a little about my background and what the admissions committee informed me in hope this will help others:
My gpa is not high 2.9/3.0 but I have a BA in psych and an associates degree in science. I have over 10 years of volunteer experience and am also a certified EKG technician, in addition to a medical assistant for a neurologist. I believe based on my experience that GPA is a HUGE deciding factor in their decision making process and thats exactly what they told me was the reason i didn't make it. I was also told that if you want to re-apply you have to wait at least a year and was warned that unless someones application improves significantly that most people who got denied the first time around also get denied the second as well. But then I was told by a friend of mine who graduated from their program that people in his class had re-applied and got in, so not sure about they said. Congrats to all those who got in!!! I have decided not to re-apply and can't help but believe that everything happens for a reason and that there are other schools and better options out there for me.
