NYU Accelerated BSN Spring 2012

hey! I figured I will start this thread! Who applied and now waiting anxiously?? :)

I just found out I got in :)

I got into my second choice, University of Miami, last week and they want an answer by tomorrow. I emailed NYU earlier this week, telling them about my situation and my they told me they have made a decision and will send me an email on Thursday, today.

Hmmmm i wonder if that really works. Email NYU and tell them you need to make a decision for other schools, that way theyll accept you or give you a quicker response nonetheless. LOL gahhh someone try it. Congrats Kerker!!!! Im from Folsom which is relatively close to the city.

i am totally jealous of the fact that you guys dont have to stress yourselves out anymore haha

OMG me too. I was accepted to both programs but im pushing towards Univ of Mia and gave them the deposit. But im still on the fence because it has always been my dream to go to NYU. Sigh....... I dont know what to do. Do I forfeit the 800 that ive already given miami and go to nyu. Or go to mia where there are no winters and get out of the tristate area. Im so torn and dont want to give up the opportunity of going to NYU.

Hi!!!! I'm from the Bay Area. I live in San Francisco in Potrero Hill! Super excited to go to NYU! Can't believe Jan is just around the corner!!! What is everyone planning to do about housing. I'm looking into rooms for rent in Brooklyn since it is cheaper but it would be awesome to get an apt with other students closer to campus!

it seems like people that are accepted are hearing back on thursdays... the 3rd and the 10th...

i'm assuming that the next accepted applicants will hear back on thursday the 17th.

Has anyone that applied on 11/01 heard anything yet?

I applied by the 11/1 deadline and I heard back on the 10th. It was rather quick. When I first called to check that all components of my application was received, they said that I should be hearing back late November/early December.

I have great experience with okay grades. I am sure I'll get waitlisted and will probably still not get in. What where your grades like?

My undergrad GPA was a 3.4 and slightly higher if not about the same for my pre-req's. However, I did have multiple people review my essay which I thought was really good. I don't know what my letters of rec said but I made sure to get them from people who would write good ones for me!
