Hey all! I've learned tons over the past months reading the different threads here. I am getting ready to start my application for the NYU aBSN program for Spring 2011, so I thought I'd start a new thread for anyone else who may be applying. I will be graduating from the University of Florida in December with a degree in nutrition. I've always wanted to go to NYU, so getting into this program would be a dream come true.
I will be attending the open house on August 10th to get some more information, so I will definitely check back and post what I find out.
So is there anyone else out there that's in the same boat as me? I'd love to hear from yall!!
Rachel,
At least we haven't been flat out denied. If we were a definite "no", they would have notified us by now. It is very frustrating that they haven't notified us because I really rushed to get my application in by October 1 so I could find out as soon as possible. I have also got so many different responses as to when I should be notified which is also very frustrating. I wouldn't even be surprised if I don't find out next week. At least "under review" means they are seriously considering you as an applicant. I bet they are waiting to see how many people that were admitted in the first round of letters accept. Hang in there, I know how you are feeling and it's terrible!

What I don't understand is why some who applied by Oct 1st were notified and some still have their applications under review. I thought it was supposed to be rolling admission? I am concerned that maybe they were unsure about whether to admit me, so they wanted to wait until all apps were received to compare the applicant pool. Ugh. All this waiting has me thinking too much and getting paranoid. I can't help it though... NYU nursing has been my dream for 2 years now, and the longer I have to wait, the more I lose confidence.
