NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Published

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

Nothing Happened LOL its always been bad. It's not worth the money. the class sizes are huge, you have no choice of your clincal placements, or lecture teachers. everything is random because they don't care. Pre covid and covid NYU was awful. They don't care about the students because theres like 200-300 kids in a cohort. One of my teachers son's went Pace that says alot about the program LOL

so you went to nyu?

Would you say they are out to get you?

LOL they don't care about the students. but hey go at your own risk. why would you put yourself in massive debt for a school that doesnt care about you and a RN degree that pays well but not going to make you rich from a RN job alone

Not sure why this info all of a sudden popped up. In the pace application, people were saying the same thing. That it isn't worth it and they send you everywhere for clinical. This is alot of accelerated programs.

It's all randomization because they don't care. One of the professors son's went to a different nursing school that says a lot too.

How are the exams?

2 weeks away from finishing the program. I performed well in the program but GPA DOESNT MATTER UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO CRNA. SO don't LET GPA get to you if thats not the case. But even though I performed well doesnt mean that the school isn't terrible. I know a lot of kids that struggled and worked really really hard

honestly NYU is so expensive — I got into a couple other schools and NYU is taking forever to respond to me and these other schools need responses ! I just think it’s ridiculous that they’re taking this long to give a decision when their program starts in two months. I applied for Summer programs (May) that I’ve already gotten acceptances for...

Congrats! What schools are you deciding between?

Depending if you are in state, around 30k. Out of state, around 55k I think. I gotta look at the numbers again.

For the whole program? The in state number is not bad.

This is a BSN program, you said RN. This makes me question why all of a sudden you are starting to throw a wrench in everyone's plans. This topic was opened since July.

A&E exams are really tough. Patho has a great teacher if her still teaches it. But you might not have him BECAUSE YOU CANT CHOSE WHO YOU HAVE. THE REWIND feature to watch another class is GREAT THO! THATS ONE BIG PRO IF YOU FIND TIME TO DO THAT. Pharm is hard but hard everywhere. I have friends at other schools all gradating at the same time and from what I see is that one pro but con is that NYU is HARD AF and the exams ARE HARD AF. You'll be prepared more for the NCLEX BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO SELF TEACH YOUR SELF ATI ATI ATI GET THOSE ATI BOOKS IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO. If you choose to go message me and I'll guide you

Is it bad even after reading all this NYU is still my first choice LOL

Thanks for the info. Any idea on job outlook at this point, now that you're graduating soon? Also outlook to land a job at an NYU hospital?
