Hello everyone!

My name is Kaitlyn and I was recently accepted into NYU Meyers as a Second Degree (non-accelerated) student. I'll be finishing up my prerequisite courses at NYU this Fall 2019 and will then begin the ABSN curriculum with, hopefully, some of you all in the Spring 2020 cohort!

Just wanted to start a thread for everyone to communicate on as you all work on getting your applications in ?

Yes, I received the acceptance letter on oct 25th . They will send an email to check your application status. Based on old 2019 spring forum, Next batch should probably be in 2 weeks. Good luck!!

stats: 3.7 B.S (chem) and 4.0 in prerequisites. no experience In health

I guess I can't get in NYU, since I only have 3.4 gpa in my prerequisites,. ugh, congrats btw

It starts Jan 27 so the very end of Jan, but as far as what I read from the last spring cohort the acceptances come out in 3 batches which start Oct 25th, and the last batch came out the first week of December which seems really late. Some people say the acceptance batches goes by top performers, mid-range performers, and low performers, others say it goes by the region where you reside so the people not living on the east coast find out first so they have sufficient time to arrange living spaces, etc. We still have time, fingers crossed for all that applied!!!!

Do not say that !! Have hope, be an optimist, even though I should be the last one saying so I am super nervous and have negative thoughts as well but we will make it. One way or the other. I have a 3.6 BS GPA and a low 3.2 pre-req GPA with one pre-req in progress but from what I have seen someone got into the spring cohort last year with as low as a 2.7 BA GPA...so have hope and faith!

How do you check your status? On mine i still have my checklist showing. Is it suppose to go away?

They will send you an email. Then when you log in, there will be a link on top of the checklist saying something like click here for your admissions decision.
