NYU ABSN Spring 2020

Hello everyone!

My name is Kaitlyn and I was recently accepted into NYU Meyers as a Second Degree (non-accelerated) student. I'll be finishing up my prerequisite courses at NYU this Fall 2019 and will then begin the ABSN curriculum with, hopefully, some of you all in the Spring 2020 cohort!

Just wanted to start a thread for everyone to communicate on as you all work on getting your applications in ?

As I recall, it is student only. Parents came to admitted students night but I don't remember a parent at orientation.

Ah ok. That’s a bummer! I imagine, like many things at NYU (dosage calc., return demonstrations, etc.,) its all a massive formality that no one fails.

Is it at all possible to get into NYU second degree non-accelerated with a 3.0 GPA from undergrad?? Should I even bother?

I was accepted with a 3.07 GPA. I am also an NYU alumnus, but I'm not sure if that holds much weight in the admission decision.

Hey guys, I hope you and your families are all doing well during this time and congratulations to anyone who has gotten accepted! I have not heard back yet and I am checking Albert like crazy every day. I noticed that under financial aid I have "satisfactory academic progress (sap)," from my understanding this is a scholarship. Does this mean I am going to hear back from NYU soon or does everyone have this on Albert? Thank you and I hope I hear back from you soon.

I’m not sure if anyone will read this since it’s been a while someone posted on here. I applied for fall 2020 and I’ve been waiting since March for a decision. For those who are in the program, how many people in total does NYU accept for the accelerated program? Please let me know. The wait is a killer. Thanks so much
