NYU ABSN Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.

I also made an (early) Facebook group: Log into Facebook | Facebook

Still no updates for me! I applied Sept 15! This wait is killllling me. And I doubt we'll see any updates next Friday because of the holidays. I'm not sure how they expect anyone to be ready with only a months notice of admission.

It seems to be some sort of glitch that occurs before you're able to view your decision. Hopefully it's a good one. Good luck!

Hey guys,

Just checked my Albert page - I got in:), wish everyone hears something back today.

Congrats sfemt93! When did you apply?

Congratulations! My checklist is gone but no notifications otherwise. Everything else looks the same.

I just checked and I got in too!

Good luck to everyone!

I got in as well :) Congrats to everyone else who has!

My checklist is still intact :/

Honestly, I'm more irritated now more than anxious.. I would be coming from CA. Do they really expect us to adequately find housing, figure out finances, etc in less than 2 months (AND during the holidays!)??

@p1glet - I couldn't agree more. Coming from the west coast, moving to NYC, background checks and health physicals plus the holidays. It seems nearly impossible at this point. Even if I got in, I don't think I could swing it

@p1glet @la_tee_dah I currently live in New York, but even living here with this short timeframe it makes it almost impossible to get the funds together in time, and to give my job proper notice. I would have to make some big changes to my life for the program as far as paying bills, working, paperwork they'll need and studying. This is why I applied by the first deadline. I can only imagine how much work it would be for you two. May I ask when you both applied?

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on here. I am in the same situation, I'd be coming from CA as well and leaving a job where it would be hard for them to replace me on short notice. I'm so irritated because I applied on Sep 15 for the early deadline hoping that I'd hear back sooner. I just want a decision either way at this point!

I, too, applied early in hopes of a decision sooner. I applied 9/11. Since then, I have applied elsewhere (over a month later) and have already been interviewed and accepted. I'm sure they received tons of applications but still frustrating. I love the idea of NYU but it might be a square peg, round hole situation
