I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.
I also made an (early) Facebook group: Log into Facebook | Facebook
I am just making the move from New Orleans - I cant imagine a west to east coast move. I've luckily secured an apartment and all that - if anyone needs help, needs a place to send stuff to, or needs anything at all on the NYC end, please let me know. I'd be happy to help in any way, especially for those coming from so far.
If you mind, which side did you get the apartment? Coming from far, thinking of where to look for housing. And the cost of are not encouraging. Got accepted too.

Hey - I don't mind at all; I got an apartment by Rory Meyers in the East Village area. I'm also working a bit at a Center in Langone and w/ colleagues at the UN so it helped solidify my decision to be within that area. I know a few folks who have said Brooklyn is a good place to be; I almost chose an apartment in Chinatown but missed out. I also looked in Lower East, Greenwich Village (lol), Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Edit: I also looked at Hoboken, NJ.
Costs are NOT encouraging; I'm lucky to have savings and job contracts that will last through the program, but it was incredibly intimidating coming from Louisiana. Try looking at Street Easy (https://streeteasy.com) to get an idea, and Craigslist, obviously. If you need any help, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Also, CONGRATULATIONS :-)
