  1. Hi everyone, Does anyone work for or know someone who works for LA Downtown Medical Center and can provide some insight? I have an interview with them soon. It seems to be a small hospital and I haven't been able to find much info on the internet. Thank you so much!
  2. Update - just got a call from the manager who said they decided to hire someone with 1 yr RN experience (so I guess it's not a true new grad position??) but that he would refer me to managers of other floors because I was his second choice. For this unit they only had one position open. I'm an external applicant and interviewed for Chula Vista. Questions were typical behavioral questions (tell me about a time you had a difficult pt, conflict with a coworker/manager, criticism you did not agree with, difficult decision you had to make, compliment from pt, etc)
  3. Same.. I found out which unit I was interviewing for during the interview LOL
  4. Hi everyone, Has anyone done the live interview and have any advice?? Soo nervous!
  5. Hi all! Does anyone know if Centinela is still hiring new grads? I see the posting is still on Indeed but its 30+ days old so I wasn't sure! I just passed my NCLEX and would love to work at Centinela. Thank you in advance!
  6. Hi everyone, I submitted 6/22 around 2:30 PM and immediately got the on-demand interview invite so I feel like it might be automated based on your answers to the questionnaire. My first choice was Mercy CV Onc.
  7. @newgradd19 They told me 2 weeks.
  8. @V.E.03 It's an in-person panel interview. The phone call was just to schedule the interview. Hope you get a call soon!
  9. Hi! I applied 6/1 and just got a call this morning to schedule my interview.
  10. I got in! Now to find housing... Is there a Facebook group somewhere for this cohort?? @jpd496 I emailed you!!
  11. Does anyone know if the Ethics prerequisite has to be completed prior to starting the program or if it can be taken concurrently?? That is the only one I am missing and I don't want to be rejected just because of that :/
  12. My checklist is still intact :/ Honestly, I'm more irritated now more than anxious.. I would be coming from CA. Do they really expect us to adequately find housing, figure out finances, etc in less than 2 months (AND during the holidays!)??
  13. Hi All! Congrats on those who got in! I started my application a few months ago, but decided not to submit it. However, I received an email today stating that they would waive the application fee if it was submitted before October 15. What do you all think? Would it be worth it to submit an application right now?!
  14. Yeah I had to condense mine from 500 words to 400 to even less to get it under 2000 characters :'( at least it forces you to be very concise which I think makes your statement more powerful on a way!
  15. The application will not let you type in more than 2000 characters (which is about 400 words depending on how long your words are). As for the LoR, in the application you put in your recommender's info and they are emailed instructions on how to upload their letter (and you are asked to waive your right to read the letter, which is standard practice). The instructions on the NYU website itself are probably outdated so I would just focus on following the instructions within the Common App =)
