Nursing Students School Programs

Soo......is anyone planning on applying to NYU for their Spring 2017 program....does anyone have any advise about NYU?

I just filled out the fafsa and CSS.. trying to stay positive. I was rejected from pace university already.

Hey everyone! I'm in the same boat, waiting to hear back from NYU. One more month, hopefully! I submitted my application in August. For financial aid, we just have to fill out the FAFSA and CSS profile, right? (And TAP, if you're a NY state resident like me.)

Is anyone else having trouble logging into the Albert homepage?? I've been trying to check my application status but haven't been able to login. I can't believe it's already mid October! One more month of this torturous waiting haha

Not really I logged in just fine. I used the info they provided to set up the account logging.

Yes, you got it, I'm going to apply for tap as well but I do believe if you have a bachelors degree you can no longer receive tap for another undergrad. Hey you never know though!

Hi Friends,

I also applied for the spring program at NYU.I am feeling very anxious, tensed and excited. I have a couple of questions.Does anyone knows how competitive is the program ? How many people apply and how many they select? Is this session easier to get into as compare to the one that begins in fall?

Hey @turtleki! You can still get TAP if it is your second degree, or if you're at another undgrad school, you're just not eligible for a Pell Grant if this is your second degree :( But as long as you're a NY resident you can get TAP! Don't worry :)

Hey @rkp12! I'm a third semester student at NYU - I also started in January, from what I heard it is competitive - but the reason why they say it's "easier" to get in the spring is because less people can start in the middle of the school year - most traditional students start in the fall. But I was a part of a student panel for the admitted student night, and the admissions people there said that there was for this past semester well over 1,000 people applied and they only accepted about a little less than 20% of them. We have in my cohort about 180. But keep in mind people that get accepted may not go because the tuition is a lot and may have gotten accepted to a cheaper school- so spots may open up once people start declining their seats. I'm sure you'll be fine don't worry!! :)

[email protected] you for the info and support.I really want to get into the program and this wait is really killing me.

Hello all,

I'm glad that I came across this forum. I submitted my application end of September for the fall semester and received an email from admission stating that I fill out the wrong application because I did my application through common app in lieu of the NYU website. TSo I was told to redo an application and resubmitted through the school website.

Yikes--20% acceptance rate? That is not what I wanted to hear!

Where do you all stand with prerequisites? I'm in the process of completing my last one now, Microbiology.
