Nyu absn spring 2017

Soo......is anyone planning on applying to NYU for their Spring 2017 program....does anyone have any advise about NYU?

Yikes--20% acceptance rate? That is not what I wanted to hear!

Where do you all stand with prerequisites? I'm in the process of completing my last one now, Microbiology.

Hey! So I finished all my prerequisites prior to applying. I don't think it makes a huge difference though because they accept people regardless of whether or not all prerequisites are done! Good luck with microbiology! That was one of my favorite classes :)

Hello Everyone,

I am very confused because a NYU financial aid officer told me we do not need the CSS profile for ABSN. I strongly feel as though she is giving me inaccurate information. Based off of the application acknowledgment email we received telling us to fill it out, what should I do?

UPDATE EVERYONE*** After speaking to 4 different admissions/financial aid counselors, the email telling us to fill out the CSS profile was WRONG. We do NOT need to fill out a CSS in order to qualify for scholarships for a second bachelors in nursing. You guys can call to confirm for your own piece of mind but they were very adamant that we only need to fill out a FAFSA with NYU on it (for nov 1).

OMG YES. I didn't even think about that. Talk about time wasted doing it and energy wasted nagging parents who don't financially support me anymore. So annoyed :( That could have been the cost for 1/2 another nursing application

I don't think anyone will be hearing back until at least the second week of November :( This wait is killing me too!

I also applied to NYU and Pace for Spring 2017. Ahh 3 more weeks and we can hear back. Pace sent me an email for an interview early November. Do you know which school is easier to get into? I know pace has 64 seats compared to NYU having ~180.

Hey, I guess I am late to this thread! I also applied for spring at NYU...why is it 3 weeks until we hear? I know in years past it was November, but has anyone called admissions to see when decisions will be sent out?

When I spoke with admissions asking about my application, they said not to expect any news until early November...they weren't very specific :(

Early November could mean next week! I remember checking out last year's thread and it seemed like they heard back 2nd or 3rd week of November, but the deadline was also later, if I'm not mistaken....
