Yeah me too! My personal email told me that they made a decision and to check albert. Albert gave me the acceptance letter.

My friend applied few days after me and I applied priority a week before him! He heard back last week and I am still waiting on a decision! Anyone have idea when the next batch would be sent out? Also any idea on why he heard back before me? What is the order NYU follows in looking at apps!

Hey! So I attended an info session and basically they don't necessarily go off of who sent in applications first. The reason is because you might have sent your online app on August 15th (for example) but your LOR and transcripts didn't reach until 2-3 weeks later. For this reason, they only process those who had EVERYTHING in first. It's likely that even if you sent in your stuff, your friend somehow had everything else before you. That may not be true, but NYU maybe processed your application after him or her just because. In terms of a particular order that they deliver decisions, they said don't have any other motive specific method. Also, when I asked when we would hear, admissions said "either really soon, or soon". That was on 10/26.
