Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!

Just received an acceptance! I applied mid March for the regular deadline - heard back far sooner than I thought!! My checklist was up as early as this morning but I got my admissions email just 10 minutes ago! Very excited!!
Wow congrats, great Monday news for you Laura M!! Thanks for letting us know! Would you mind sharing stats?
I guess this is a reminder that we don't know how the process goes, as some of us applied before “priority” deadline.
Nonetheless I am so happy that some of us are getting big news.

OMG CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so excited for you! ☺️?
I was also just accepted after a mid-March application. Does anyone know if there is a FB group for the class, yet?
For those still waiting/interested here are my stats:
Undergrad = 3.1
Masters (nonprofit management) = 3.5
Prerequisites = 3.875 *still working on Chemistry and it's the hardest thus far so expecting a B at best. All online via Portage due to Covid.
No science background but I spent 10 years working for Doctors without Borders in the field. Before that spent a few years at New York Presbyterian Hospital's Finance office.
Work background = Finance/Budget management for nonprofits.
This is a career change after 15+ years in my previous field. I was worried they wouldn't want an older candidate who didn't have a science background.
Good luck to everyone still waiting. I'm still waiting to hear from Mount Sinai. NYU is asking for a decision in one weeks time so I assume I won't hear from Mount Sinai before that.
I live in NYC with my family(=three young children/spouse) so am happy to help if anyone has housing questions.
Congrats Laura! I'm still seeing nothing new on mine except a completed checklist, so am trying to be patient, haha ?
Me: I'm cool it's chill, whatever happens happens ?
Also me: refreshing portals and email every 5 minutes, having heart palpitations just from seeing a new email, but it's only spam from a shoe store or something, repeat
Anyway good luck everyone LOL, I am crossing fingers for us!

Thank you and thanks everyone! I hope more people hear back soon and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all.
No problem sharing stats:
Overall Undergrad GPA 3.56 (Biology Major)
Nutrition A
Human Development A
Stats A
Micro A-
Anatomy B+
Physiology B (My undergrad school offered these as separate classes rather than A+P 1 and 2)
Chem B+ (my freshman year of undergrad, but I am retaking this Summer because that was Fall 2010..)
This is also a career change for me - I have been working in sustainability for 7 years since graduating in 2014. @ank2108 I haven't found a FB group yet but will let you know if I do!

Congratulations, Laura and Ank2108!
Congrats! I got my acceptance today as well. I have been in a creative field for over a decade, nursing is a complete career change for me. I had a professional letter from an employer, had all A's in my prereq's from a community college, with a pending Microbio class (I expect to get an A), and 3.2 undergrad GPA from a reputable school. I applied before the Priority deadline.
I did not check my checklist at all because I didn't want to spin with anxiety... I got an email today and thats how I found out. So watch your email!
