NYU ABSN Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone was applying to NYU for the ABSN program in fall 2017? I'm kind of nervous because my GPA isn't the highest since I had to work all four years to help pay for school which took away from my studying time. I do have work experience in the health care field and a little over 100 hours of health related volunteering. Also, how is everyone planning on paying for school since it is soo expensive?

So I actually contacted NYU and turns out a decision was sent already. The admissions office was able to see the decision letter from their end but I couldn't see it from mine. They said they couldn't tell me the decision over the phone but because of my situation of me not being able to see it the admissions counselor told me I was admitted! but I still need to see the letter so I can accept it, the struggle.

I agree with those who have said to contact admissions because your decision letter might have been sent this whole entire time without even knowing just like my scenario.

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!

does anyone know how to fill out the student health center health forms online?

Did anyone hear back today ? Any good news? Plz share.

I just accepted NYU and paid their deposit. Should I expect another email besides my receipt? Also, when do I receive instructions about my NYU email? Is there anything else I should be doing after I put the deposit down? Someone please help!!

I paid my deposit last Thursday and I haven't received any further communication from the school except my financial aid award which was posted to my Albert account.

I just accepted NYU and paid their deposit. Should I expect another email besides my receipt? Also, when do I receive instructions about my NYU email? Is there anything else I should be doing after I put the deposit down? Someone please help!!

I accepted NYU and paid the deposit on April 29 and still haven't heard anything else from NYU. Has anyone else received information from NYU after accepting? How long did it take?

Hi all-

In a similar situation. Accepted and paid my deposit back on April 25th and still no other communication. I called admissions today and they suggested reaching out to [email protected]. Evidently this is the office that handles these things. According to the person I spoke with, the deposit payment should have triggered the email with further info and your NYU email but seems there are several of us where that did not happen. I have emailed the ops department and am waiting to hear back.

Just wondering....has everyone else that is in a similar situation completed their first undergrad degree? I was thinking that maybe mine was delayed because they are waiting to see my final transcript.

Did anyone hear anything from NYU since last week?

That is ridiculous. I paid my deposit on 04/27 and haven't received ANY of those emails. Not a single one. I'm actually really unhappy right now with their lack of communication after taking $500 of my money.

ETA: Thank you very much, andreahm, for sharing that info. The amount of information in those emails that I had no idea about is staggering to me. I'm very upset right now that I've haven't received any of this information and would've continued to be totally in the dark for who knows how long had you not posted this. I'm just...wow, words fail me. Btw, I was able to other day to set up my NYU email account just on my own through randomly clicking through links on the main webpage and I've been checking my account religiously multiple times and day and still never received any of this information.

Specializes in Oncology.

I would not be happy either. Especially since some of this info is time-sensitive e.g. the admitted student event dates. Not sure what the hold up is but hopefully they start pushing this info out to everyone soon!
