Hi everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone was applying to NYU for the ABSN program in fall 2017? I'm kind of nervous because my GPA isn't the highest since I had to work all four years to help pay for school which took away from my studying time. I do have work experience in the health care field and a little over 100 hours of health related volunteering. Also, how is everyone planning on paying for school since it is soo expensive?
I applied in January (super early i know) but still haven't heard anything back. My stats are a not amazing but not terrible. I am wondering if I am good enough to get accepted this late in this cycle. Are they going to be more selective now that it is already may? I am getting super nervous since its been such a long time. Do you think they still have a lot more acceptances to give out? I feel like I am running out of time. Any one else in the sam boat?
I'm accepted to liu as well. But the 2 year program what about you? I haven't heard anything from nyu either .
Same here for LIU! I really hope i can get into NYU ABSN Program. I have not hear great things of LIU so I have been keeping my fingers crossed for NYU. My GPA is not the highest but i do have health care experience. i hope they weigh that into their decision.
I just received my admissions letter from Wagner College and they need a decision by May 17th with a deposit! I still haven't heard from NYU and its driving me crazy at this point. If accept wagers admission I would still have to take the TEAS exam but if i fail then what am I supposed to do?!
Hi Alexisv94-
I know others have mentioned that they have not had luck with calling the admissions department; however, I would suggest doing just that.
Some time back I had called and the person I spoke with had suggested that if I get into a situation where I needed to make a decision/commitment with another program I should call back and ask to speak with an Admissions Counselor (as opposed to the admissions clerk that answers the phone) and explain the situation to see if they could at least provide a better idea of the status of my application and when I might have a decision.
As I said, others have not had success with this but seeing as how that was a suggestion from the department, what have you got to lose.
Good luck! Keep us posted.
