Liu 2017
I was hoping things might have gotten better, since it looks like the only choice I have. I'm still waiting to hear back from nyu but my hope is not high.

Liu 2017
You are a student at Liu? I heard you have to pass an entrance exam in order to start the program is that true? And the older posts said that the program is very disorganized a lot of people fail and does not get clinical replacement every semester, And there's medical calculation exam every semester in order to move on you have to get 100%?

Liu 2017

Liu 2017
It seems like there's not much topic on the Liu nursing. Will anyone be starting the clinical phase at liu this fall?

Liu Post accelerated program.
Actually I just found out the one that I'm being accepted to is LIU post which I apply at first, because I thought they have an accelerated program. Then I found out that LIU Brooklyn is the one that offers accelerated program and I applied again. So that explains why I got accepted without a personal statement and way before the deadline is due. And for your question I believe the tuition is 34,352 annually. And I do not know whether they gives out a lot of scholarships.

Liu Post accelerated program.
Hi everyone. So I have recently just started my application for the accelerated Nursing program at LIU. When I apply I chose to apply as transfer student. I have submitted all my transcript and recommendation letters. A few days ago I received a letter from LIU saying that I have been accepted. The thing is I haven't even submit my personal statement. On the letter it saids: Congratulations you have been accepted to the Nursing program at LIU post of the summer 2017. My concern now is whether I'm accepted to the traditional 4 years program or the accelerated one? It means a lot if someone can answer my question.

LIU accelerated nursing program 2017
My undergrad GPA from the first college is a2.5 and then I transferred and graduated with a 3.0 GPA. Currently I'm taking pre-reqs in a community college and received B+ in both A&P 1and 2. And got an A in Chem. My GPA right now is a 3.45. For those who got accpted or currently in the program do you think I have a chance?

Columbia ETP 2016
Hey, this is embarrassing but I got the date mixed up it was not last Wednesday but this Wednesday so I just got back from the open house. So Columbia receives about 700 applications and they accepts 200 of them. And they really place a lot of weight on your personal statements.

Columbia ETP 2016
Of course. Is there anything in particular that you want to ask?

Columbia ETP 2016
Hi, I'm wondering what was the essay topic For MDE last year? This year is why u think it's necessary for nurses to advance their degrees? Why do you think it's necessary to get a master? If it's the same topic do you mind to share of some of your reasons? Thanks.

Columbia ETP 2016

Columbia MDE/DNP 2017
It seems that no one has created a thread about this yet. Is anyone else applying for the MDE/DNP program at columbia Univesity for summer 2017? So my basic stats are I have a BA in Speech Language and hearing science with a GPA of 3.0. I'm currently a pre-nursing student taking pre-reqs at qcc, and just have finish taking A&P1 during the summer and got a B+. And my gpa now is 3.14. Which GPA would columbia look at? My gre overall adds up to 300, but the essay portion was pretty bad, only got a 3. I will be volunteering in the hospital starting this sept., I don't know will it still helps with the aplication. I do have many years of working experience at clinics as dental assistant, don't know whether that helps. I'm wondering what my chances are getting accepted. Or I should just be looking at ABSN programs instead. Thanks.

Columbia ETP 2016
Hi, I'm new to this site. I want to apply to the Master program for next summer. I current have a undergrad Grad GPA of 3.0 and I'm current in the pre-nursing program in QCC to take the pre-reqs. I took A&P1 this summer and got a B+. And my GPA at qcc now is 3.14. My GRE score adds up to 300, but I didn't do well on the essay, only got a 3. I will begin volunteer in the hospital this September, don't know if it's too late. I had many experience working at clinics, don't know if that helps. I live in NYC queens area so so moving is really my last option. I want to know what are my chances for getting in to CU, and what are some other schools that I could be looking in to. Thanks a lot.
