NYU ABSN Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone was applying to NYU for the ABSN program in fall 2017? I'm kind of nervous because my GPA isn't the highest since I had to work all four years to help pay for school which took away from my studying time. I do have work experience in the health care field and a little over 100 hours of health related volunteering. Also, how is everyone planning on paying for school since it is soo expensive?

Hello everyone! I'm new to this so bare with me. :)

Congrats to those who made it in the program for this Fall! I've sent out my application Feb. 28th and still haven't heard anything, it's stressing me out.

I haven't either

I'm still waiting on FAFSA lol

Hey guys, does NYU notify us if one of our pre-reqs doesn't fulfill the requirements? I took Human Development Through the Lifespan (PSYC 218, 3 credit hours, in person not online) is that the same thing as Developmental Psychology? Anybody else take a Human Development lifespan course instead of one specifically entitled Developmental Psychology? Should I email NYU and double check that my Human Development course is acceptable?

Since you have already been accepted, I think it is safe to say that your course fulfilled the requirement.

Don't worry guys.. I applied December 28th and just received a decision today.. be patient, hopefully you'll hear back before the end of the month!

Well, I applied on November 14th and still haven't heard either. Got a request for further details on one of my pre-reqs and was told that it meets the requirements but I guess now I have to wait for my application to go back for review. Ugh!

Good luck NikNikV!! Hopefully that means that theyre interested!!

I think that's a positive sign! The frustrating thing is it slows down the process. :(

to those that got accepted...where u ED OR RD? btw congrats!

I applied RD on March 2nd!

First of all, congratulations!

I believe you have two weeks to click "accept/decline" and also to pay the $500 deposit. I just accepted today and was immediately asked to pay the deposit online.

Regarding FAFSA, definitely still submit and see what happens! I actually didn't file FAFSA until after I got my acceptance decision and I too was worried it was too late, but within a week it was processed and NYU awarded me a scholarship as well as work study option. So it is more than worth a shot!

I had previously posted that I applied RD but now that I look on Albert it says my application was received on 2/15. I guess they counted that as ED even though my letter of recommendation wasn't mailed in until after 3/1.

Did you receive your work/study option from FAFSA or NYU? I'm so worried about my finances..

Specializes in Oncology.

I think from FAFSA? It's listed as federal work study.

Still haven't heard back either! I applied in Jan. Good luck to everyone :)
