Hi everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone was applying to NYU for the ABSN program in fall 2017? I'm kind of nervous because my GPA isn't the highest since I had to work all four years to help pay for school which took away from my studying time. I do have work experience in the health care field and a little over 100 hours of health related volunteering. Also, how is everyone planning on paying for school since it is soo expensive?
I got in woohoo! Found out this morning but was stuck in class and couldn't post until now. Congrats to everyone else who got accepted today! A couple of questions I was hoping you all could help me with, sorry if they are silly:
1) How does the process go from here? Is it that we have two weeks from the date of our decision letter to click that Accept/Decline button on Albert? When do we find out about the deposit? Is that after we choose accept? How much time are we given to get the deposit in?
2) Do we have to file the FAFSA to be considered for scholarships? Is it too late to file?
ETA: Darn, looks like I slept on it and missed the FAFSA filing deadline for scholarships (Feb. 15)!
Sorry for all the questions and I appreciate any info you all can provide, this is a great thread and everyone seems really kind and supportive.
Also, it's probably clear by now but those of you who have not received a decision yet please check Albert today and don't wait for an email because I haven't received one. I found out just by checking my Albert account this morning.

First of all, congratulations!
I believe you have two weeks to click "accept/decline" and also to pay the $500 deposit. I just accepted today and was immediately asked to pay the deposit online.
Regarding FAFSA, definitely still submit and see what happens! I actually didn't file FAFSA until after I got my acceptance decision and I too was worried it was too late, but within a week it was processed and NYU awarded me a scholarship as well as work study option. So it is more than worth a shot!
to those that got accepted...where u ED OR RD? btw congrats!
I had previously posted that I applied RD but now that I look on Albert it says my application was received on 2/15. I guess they counted that as ED even though my letter of recommendation wasn't mailed in until after 3/1.

Thanks a lot for answering my questions, andreahm! I think I'll go ahead and do the FAFSA tonight and, like you said, see what happens!
I have not heard anything yet either, def becoming disheartening.. however we have to remember that there are still almost 8 weeks left of decisions to go out! (although, I am really hoping not to have to wait so long!) Admissions said that they are going to be continuing to send out decisions...

Is anyone going to that? Anyone from NYC? I'm from Queens! Nothing shows up on my events either..
@andrea, did you receive your admissions decision today?
- awesome! Good to know! On Albert, it says that they received my FAFSA, so they must still be processing it. I did receive an email from TAP saying that I wasn't eligible for any aid...
