NYU ABSN Fall 2015

Anyone planning to apply to NYU ABSN program for fall 2015. Since I'm in CA, there's no way I could attend the information session. What important things were mentioned at the information session?

Seriously guys just keep your hopes up and stay positive! Every Monday and Wednesday I went to bed dreading the next morning but I can definitely testify that no news is good news!!!

Hi everyone,

I just got accepted for the Fall ABSN program, but I still have to take developmental psych. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and knows of a cheap/online version of the course that was approved. There's a lifespan one online for SUNY Oswego that looks good. Also, how long does it take to get our NYU emails and financial aid packages?

For the people getting acceptances, is this for regular bsn or accelerated?

I called to ask because I was confused too. you just go to home.nyu.edu and click preferences at the top. that should take you to your email address which is just your netid @nyu.edu. you can also change it to be your name on that website too. it may take a few days after you pay your deposit, but otherwise it should be there!

has anyone looked into scholarships and financial aid to pay for NYU? I am paying for this myself, as I'm sure many of you are, and I don't know where to begin! any help would be appreciated! good luck to all of those who are waiting! Im sure good news will come your way soon, the waiting is hard but its worth it!!

@sborn I am paying for NYU myself also and was not awarded very much money from NYU in the financial aid package (my EFC on FAFSA was the lowest score possible...). NYU has these outside scholarships we can apply to: https://nursing.nyu.edu/admissions/scholarships-awards and I also heard that there is a scholarship app on the app store (iPhone), not sure what the app is called but can probably be searched for so I'm going to apply to scholarships on there too. Besides that I am going to apply for a private student loan to cover the rest of tuition and cost of living, possibly through Sallie Mae or Discover. If you are a NY state resident you can also apply to TAP for state aid. I hope this helps!

Hello everyone!! I'm new to this forum but I just wanted to let you guys know that I have been accepted to the program!! Please don't give up guys! Prior, I was rejected from the nursing program at my mother school (even though i made it to the interview process) and waitlisted at another. Be confident, keep focused, and kick butt!!
