Anyone planning to apply to NYU ABSN program for fall 2015. Since I'm in CA, there's no way I could attend the information session. What important things were mentioned at the information session?
also, for all those who got in, was there a day you had to tell nyu whether you were attending or not? I'm thinking that they will send out the next round after those who have already gotten in confirm or deny their acceptance.
SBorn -- According to the info NYU sent you have three weeks to the day to let them know if you accept or reject the offer.

maybe that's a factor in why there's such a large gap in admission time. it's been mentioned in this thread that admission decisions go out any time between april and june, so I think there's some dependence on decisions of those who were accepted earlier. I personally wish that people who didn't want to go to NYU didn't apply- I've been seeing posts that some of you feel like your application was a waste and others have already committed to other schools. It's difficult for me to grasp why someone wouldn't withdraw their application or just not apply if they knew NYU wasn't an viable option. I'd really hope that anyone on this thread and in general, who has no intentions of committing to NYU because of X, Y and Z, declines their acceptance sooner rather than later. Just a mini rant...my apologies if I've offended anyone, i just know a lot of us on here want spots at NYU and are more serious about the ABSN program their than others.
NYU gives you three weeks from the date you were given your acceptance, and no they don't wait for people to respond before they send out more letters. Its very hit or miss for example I was told during the first round on a Tuesday, then Thursday there was none, next Tuesday none, then Thursday they told more people. Be patient, I know it isn't easy but you have to realize how many applications they have to go through.
Hi Dan,
Thank for all the info! I was accepted but I was wondering how they were with financial aid and scholarships? I heard they weren't very generous and am still waiting on financial aid to put together my packet. I made the mistake of submiitting my FAFSA late as well and am banking on the NYUCN specific scholarships.
