  1. i wish i'd thought of that @sage288! it can definitely get nerve wrecking thinking about materials not arriving on time. i sent in my app and transcripts earlier this week, but i'm still trying to figure out what to do about an LOR. have any of your recommenders ever told you guys that they'd only reference you for X amount of schools?
  2. thanks! I got the solar info... now we wait to hear about interviews. good luck everyone who already scheduled theirs!
  3. hm, thats odd. thanks for the feedback everyone. who would be the person/department to call about this?
  4. awesome! good luck! im definitely planning on sending everything out this week. are you submitting a letter of rec?
  5. congrats to those who already got emailed for an interview! when did you all submit your applications? i applied the week of the deadline and didn't even receive an email about SOLAR login info...
  6. I would only provide volunteer work if it was healthcare related @sage288 You pay the fee when you submit the app.
  7. hi @sage288. i am also applying for the ABSN fall 2016 at NYU- almost done with my application. Just need to send official transcripts. It says that an LOR is optional, so I'm considering not sending one- I think my most reliable references are getting sick of writing my letters for nursing school at this point. i applied last year for fall 2015, but unfortunately was not accepted. however, i believe that recent healthcare experience will make my app more competitive this time around. when will you be sending your app in?
  8. What I meant was that its like redoing the last two years of college for those of us who have already graduated from a 4 year school. I googled the acceptance rate for stony... its 41.3%, but I'm guessing the school of nursing has a much lower rate of acceptance.
  9. I think faculty screener 6/sent back to the committee for review, is a good thing. Mine has been on incomplete review for two months because I sent in my TEAS scores well after my application was submitted. Does anyone else have incomplete review? It seems like the average wait time to hear back is between 3-4 months. What do you guys think about the deadline being changed to space available basis?
  10. Its a 2 year program. 4 semesters. Essentially it would be junior/senior year of college, but all nursing courses for those of us who already have a bachelors.
  11. Commented on the other thread you posted! I applied two days ago... Hopefully the applicant pool for basic bsn is smaller than the applicant pool for stony's accelerated.
  12. Thanks for starting the thread, I don't think theres another one on here for us! I submitted my application two days ago. Really hoping to get accepted. Did any of you apply for the accelerated, too?
  13. Has anyone applied/in the process of applying to the basic, 2 year?
  14. AMAZING! congrats!
  15. The deadline is the 31st and you paid for/submitted your app already. don't stress it, they can't penalize us for taking the teas late- there weren't many available options in nyc for the test
