NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

The deadline to confirm enrollment is May 1st. It doesn't state explicitly in the email when the deposit is due but I'm guessing then. As a heads up it looks like transfer students cannot defer enrollment so if you applied for the fall you're locked in.

The email says something about checking "critical instructions to learn how you can review your preliminary statement of transfer credit and how to confirm your enrollment online" but the link takes me to the application page. I'm too excited to try to play around with the site :)

Hey All,

I just received an acceptance offer. I'm excited but I was also admitted into another program a few days ago. The cost of that program is half of the cost of NYU. I thought I was all set on going there until I received my acceptance to NYU. I love everything about NYU but the cost. Good luck to all still waiting to hear back

I actually just sent mine in on april 1st exactly and just got in! are we considered transfer applications btw? I am graduating in may with a degree and i applied as absn but is that transfer? I am a little confused

Hey myshamilton, I think we are considered transfer applicants but I found it a bit confusing as well. We do need to make sure our prereq credits are transferring appropriately for the ABSN track. The link to "critical information" in the email took me to the application page. I haven't tried playing around with the site yet but at first glance nothing stood out for admitted students.

Congrats to the ones who have been accepted! I am still waiting... Could you please tell as (if you don't mind sharing) your undergrad GPA, pre requisites GPA, any volunteer experience, when did you apply, and to what program did you apply (accelerated, regular track, transfer?)

Yes, congrats to everyone who received good news!

And for anyone who wasn't accepted this cycle, I personally spoke to someone in the program who was not accepted their first time but got in the 2nd attempt, and is now finishing up her final semester (and loves it).
