NYP hiring for new grads

Hi everyone! I’m a new grad nurse who graduated in May and has been licensed since the end of June. It’s been a couple of weeks of job searching and even though it hasn’t been long, I’m already feeling really down. I recently got an email from NYP to complete their “get to know you” online assessment and that was 3 days ago and haven’t heard back since. Does anyone have any insight into how long it might be until I hear back from them after completing the assessment? Thank you!

sadnewgrad, don't be sad. Some places are on top of it and some take literally Months.

3 days is nothing. 3 weeks would be a good starting point of figuring they aren't interested. Almost bet that as soon as you do get your first gig, you'll have places you submitted to you calling.

Hey, I was wondering if they ever got back to you with a call after the online assessment? I also filled it out and was wondering when I would hear back or if I would hear back

Also was contacted about a week ago to do the assessment. It's still showing assessment/references as my current status. Curious to see what the timeline is for other people hearing from NYP! And good luck to everyone!

Hi! I went through the online assessment as well, the recruiter reached out via email within 72 hours to schedule a short interview. I had that one yesterday and am interviewing with a unit manager later this week! Best of luck ?

I am unable to reply to each person specifically but it’s been 3 weeks and I haven’t heard back since the assessment so I assume they’re not interested ?

Do you mind sharing your timeline from the time you started to apply? and is this a STAFF nurse position?

Sure! I applied Jul 14, got invited to the assessment Jul 20, on Jul 21st I received my first interview request. Interviewed this week with the recruiter and unit manager on two separate occasions! I have been told that the third step is an interview with the unit team if they choose to proceed with my application.
