NYP hiring for new grads

Published

Hi everyone! I’m a new grad nurse who graduated in May and has been licensed since the end of June. It’s been a couple of weeks of job searching and even though it hasn’t been long, I’m already feeling really down. I recently got an email from NYP to complete their “get to know you” online assessment and that was 3 days ago and haven’t heard back since. Does anyone have any insight into how long it might be until I hear back from them after completing the assessment? Thank you!

Hi and congrats!! I know some people received an invite to interview soon after their assessment, but just for a different timeline: I received my assessment on 7/26 and my status stayed the same. Then on 9/20 I was finally given an interview request. So if it doesn't happen quickly, don't lose hope!

Thank you! Congrats to you as well!!

Did you happen to get the message: "Thank you for completing the assessment. NewYork-Presbyterian will be in contact regarding next steps in the hiring process." at the end of the assessment and whenever you try to access it after taking it?

I did! And then they took their sweet time lmao I had unfortunately already accepted a residency position elsewhere. Hopefully they schedule your interview quicker!

Thank you! I really hope so haha.

Wish you the best with your residency position!!

It took them less than 24 hours to get back to me after the assessment. Interview with recruiter was scheduled the very next day so I had less than 24 hours to prepare. Also had interview with 3 other people right after that recruiter interview
