I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?
@G don't worry about it don't know who keep coming up with those lists cant find them anywhere online. Those schools has been under review since last year why worry about it now just wait. Don't go hire a lawyer unless you did something illegal

Thank you. Yes you are right. Will just have to wait and see what happens.

A few more schools have been added to the list

You can't find them 'online' because they are NOT approved. Legal proceedings often are conducted behind closed doors. People magazine does not do features on BIG legal proceedings which effect the health care of our country.
ONCE AGAIN for those in the back: In order for your graduation school passing and completion, it must have approval from the state it was received in as is on the NYS site and every state site:
QuoteYou must graduate from a nursing education program that meets one of the three criteria below.
'''''''
'nursing education program located in another state or U.S. Territory, if approved by the licensing authority of the state or U.S. Territory as preparation for practice as an RN
I sincerely want to help. I wrote a letter to ANA yesterday about this injustice. I hope everyone else does to.
If they are investigating Ideal Professional they should also add Progressive college, and Sunlight to that list.

An unusual question when I am giving strong support for those effected. I attended a reputable program with strong retention, graduate, NCLEX rates with out an exit exam. I have 45 plus years of RN education via Diploma, ADN and BSN programs. But it appears your have some concerns about me helping others that received an education that currently prohibits their ATT for NCLEX or licensure....after passing NCLEX in at least 2 states.
Here's a question for you...why have you only posted on this topic recently. Which school did you attend? Name and date of graduation, state licensed in or title/duties when employee. What is your background in RN education. I have been upfront. The question is will you be?

I don't know why I would "come off angry"... All I have ever wanted to do is help you instead of pacifying those who want to 'wait it out.'. Waiting for the government to change their mind is just asinine. I have given constructive advice .if you truly want help....not a debate.
1) Contact your congressman. https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative, senator and Governor. (These names, internet sites and emails are readily available on the internet) I have provided one
Be sure to provide thorough information: What/where happened to you and how it is effecting your life. Give facts, not be defensive, be able to show where the $$ came and went. Be professional at all times on the phone
2) Decide what you want to do now: What was the problem with the school you graduated from with regards to licensure
3) Problems with ATT or passing NCLEX?
4) Did your school become non-approved (assuming you went to a Florida SON.)
5) realize those of us trying to help are disseminating information as it becomes available in the workplace (like Starr) and not trolls.
6) Determine if you have been conned by reasonable, rationale information. Stop attacking those of us trying to help you see a path through the woods.
