Has anyone watched NY Med? What did you think?
I am between classes right now and I was thinking of starting a new series on Hulu and ran across this show. My break is short so I don't want to commit to something that ends up being a bomb.
I have been burned by "reality" shows before so any feedback good or otherwise is welcome. Thanks!
I like both shows but I agree with the poster who mentioned the female staff who wear their hair down and all beautiful. When they are at bedside, it seems like the hair is up but when they are interviewed about what's going on, the hair is down. Even the female docs do it.You just don't wear your long hair down while working in the ER.
The nurse with the red hair usually has hers pulled back, but the one who's supposed to be the hottie almost always has hers down, even at the bedside. I would be intimidated by all the fabulosity of the female nurses if I worked there.
Yeah Blondie![/quote']
I'm surprised her boobs get any circulation, with her scrub tops being so tight. Of course, they're probably fake, so they may not need as much blood flow. (I'm talking about the glamazon on that show, not Steph!
)
And before someone else says it, yes, I know...MEOW!
I want to recommend Sydney ER. It is the most realistic ER medical documentary and I learned a lot watching the trauma codes. It is filmed in Sydney Australia.
I LOVED Sydney ER! We don't have TV anymore--just Hulu Plus, You Tube, and DVDs...but I loved that show when we had satellite. I loved The Critical Hour (that was on way before I was a trauma nurse too) but can't seem to find that one anywhere.
As for wearing the hair down, I can't for the life of me see that being helpful while working. I thought about wearing mine down w/ a headband the other night, but after about two seconds I remembered that I've still got some postpartum hair loss going on (my baby is a year old, but still)...my hair is down to the bottom of my scapulae so fairly long and I kept picturing either lost hairs falling on patients or just having to push it out of the way even with the headband.
