Hello , Everyone I'm a third semester student at Northern Virginia Community College and I know this is a bit early to be inquiring about nursing school but I just would like to get a head start on getting to know everyone interested in applying! I'm excited for the upcoming semester! i have some ice breakers to get this conversation started as well. Has anyone taken the TEAS test yet and if so how was your experience? and also do you have any remaining classes to take before applying.

Hey everyone! For the High school transcript and teas information, do i send it in the application in the 'official documents' section or does my high school have to send it? and how would i send the teas??

I just sent them both as an attachment..I took a picture of the HS transcript and added it to the application regardless because I know they already have it

Hello everyone I’m extremely confused ! I called the nursing school and they told me that they required a 68 on each section , when online is says 68 composite meaning all the scores averaged together , can someone clearify this for me ? I think I got the wrong information

Who told you this information? I feel like if that was the case they would’ve specified like they did with the 76 reading score..I think it’s 68 total . I feel like NOVA starts changing and giving mixed information when the application period opens/closes cause it’s still wild to me that they took BIO142 off as a prerequisite mid semester

the lady in the back of the advisement office, usually she's very informative but she kept telling me "no! they mean all scores have to be a 68" when it clearly says 68 COMPOSITE means all scores averaged together

then towards the end of the convo she said she sees what I'm seeing , i called the regular counseling office though they told me i was correct testing tomorrow so we will see

Okay! A friend just told me that the high school has to send them the transcript directly but i really hope that's not true. Did you change the teas score into a pdf or how did you do it?

ATI website when you check your result, they have the way to change to PDF, it is very easy to do it. You can figure out.

I go by their blog, which has the most up to date information. It links to a second post about the TEAS, minimums, how to submit etc. https://blogs.nvcc.edu/mecexchange/2019/02/25/2019-nursing-required-attachments/

You can download your ATI TEAS as a PDF by going to MY results, clicking on the attempt you want to submit and clicking on download report on the top right of the page. they have pictures of how to do it on the blog post.

Thanks so much!

Is the spring 2020 session hybrid or regular? Also haven’t seen an announcement about that session

It’s regular! I called yesterday and asked about the option. Applications open up in July!
