NVCC 2nd year RN Clinicals Class of 2009

Published

Is anyone out there?

I really need to switch Clinicals with someone. I have the Wednesday 7AM-8PM at VHC and really need a Monday or Friday clinical. I just re-entered into the Nursing program after a year of being in hiatus. :zzzzz Is anyone willing to switch with me, please? :sniff:

Thanks for listening.

I passed! At least I think so... in my gradebook it has a minus in front of the P. Does that mean almost passed?

As long as u see "p' and not a "f" congrats

I passed also, congrats to you both! I agree, sooooo nice to be done with it! I don't know if graduate programs make you do these like RN programs . . . very stressful. I still say it was a tough test and I would like to see my test to see how I actually did!

Congrats!! Ur doing the online now, cool. I thought of that, as I usually just make an appearance in class, lol I went and saw my test, and will take my 100 and run, lol. My sisters back in Canada said during their BSN program, they could only recall 1 dosage exam, possibly two.

Congratulations guys!

Was it your last math test at NVCC? Wow, reason to celebrate.:clpty:

I had mine today. It's the one that is "real" during first year's second semester.

Can I ask you a question?

Do you recall how much time they gave you to do your math test during your second semester? Strange question, I know. I will explain if you are interested.

We had 45 minutes for this past exam. Yep, our last dosage exam at NVCC. Mind you every lecture exams has dosage questions

You got 100, awesome! I don't know why they can't just post the grade instead of P or F. Yeah, I'm doing online this semester, it is just too stressful trying to get the kids out the door and to school in time, especially on exam day. It's been really nice so far to do lecture in my jammies with my "uncovered beverage" LOL. Apparently I got lucky though as I heard that a LOT of online students got kicked out of the exam in the middle! I don't know yet how they are going to deal with those. Talk about stress.

I thought of the online, but being anti social that i am, it does me good to get out,lol

I belive they were working with the techs to get them to start the exam, were it cut off. Guess 1 gal was on question #49!! ouch! Guess i should go iron my uniform for clinical tomorrow!! Get to spend the day in the ER

Hey, are any of you guys doing preceptorships second rotation? Just curious - I am trying to figure out if I am the only person who still doesn't know where I am going specifically.

It's making me irrationally nervous. LOL.

yes, i have mine at Reston second half. There was an email sent out (maybe on blackboard) that we wont know exactly what floor till closer to the date, like maybe even a few days, lol

Good to know. I think I am nervous because it seems like everyone in my rotation knows exactly what unit they are on already.

Krenee, how are you doing in your rotation? I think you are in with a couple of my online buddies, LOL. If I am remembering right about where you are.

I am hanging in there. The rumors are not false, the instructor has everyone terrified, as she likes it, I think. But I am calm about it (as much as I can be), as I believe she isn't going to fail any of us. I just don't challenge her on anything, I smile and nod no matter what!!! It is working so far as she hasn't given me too hard of a time. I am just trying to survive.

I found out where my preceptorship is going to be, in the Potomac NICU, but I didn't hear it from the school . . . I have a scholarship there and the lady that has my scholarship told me that she placed me there. So I was just lucky, otherwise I'd be on pins & needles too. I imagine most people got their first choice . . .

Well, off to study cardiac some more . . .
