Is anyone out there?

I really need to switch Clinicals with someone. I have the Wednesday 7AM-8PM at VHC and really need a Monday or Friday clinical. I just re-entered into the Nursing program after a year of being in hiatus. :zzzzz Is anyone willing to switch with me, please? :sniff:

Thanks for listening.

ya, I like to beat up onthe online students, rough them up for fun!! lol I couldnt tell you an online student versus a traditional student, I'm pretty anti social! lol I attend the lecture, if it bores me, I leave!! lol

:chuckle It's cool to find this board with people who are also in my program. It is reinforcing my suspicion, though, that until now the online program has existed in a completely separate world from the rest of the nursing program.

Oh, and...

I couldnt tell you an online student versus a traditional student, I'm pretty anti social!

It'd be the one you kept looking at while thinking, "who is that? I've never seen him/her before. Did they actually let new people into the third semester or what?"

Last fall was one of the biggest nursing classes ever at NVCC, so there are piles of students that I dont recognize. The traditional lecture for nur 111/118 had 2 start times (1300, and another 1645) so was a good chance you didnt see everyone, lol I volunteered for camp med, and I didnt recognize many of the volunteers, which all were second yr students!!

and yes they have let in a lot of "new" people into the 3 rd semester--the LPN to RN students

:coollook: I know, I was mostly being tongue in cheek. I have an odd sense of humor sometimes.
I was told about a week prior to course start. Im happy with my 13 hr friday/Tuesday clinicals

Are you saying you have two days with 13 hour clinicals?

No, if you have a 13 hour clinical it is ONCE a week. otherwise you have 2-6.5 hr clinicals. I much prefer only going once a week.

Whew! Same here. Especially if your clinical site is hour(s) away...

Things may have changed, as I know the structure of the classes have changed, but first year one only had 1 clinical day, which was around 8 hours. it is the 2nd year where ones clinical time increases, but that could have changed.

First yr i don tbelive we got to pick our clinical sites, but did the 2nd yr! And I gotta be quick/lucky at registration, as the desired classes/clinicals go FAST!!

At this point I could care less about how far my clinicals would be or if I got screwed during registration and had horrible class schedules. The only think I care about is that NVCC checks off my checklist and gets it back to me so that I can get my application turned in by the deadline. AND I hope they push back the application deadline. Either they don't realize or don't care about how many people are finishing up their last pre-req this semester...They are going to have a stack of checklists a mile high on the 11th of May!

11th of may is still a bit away--thats our Pinning ceremony date, lol

I know, plenty of time to worry about the day I will turn in my checklist!

You must be so freaking excited?!
