And to anyone else who’s taking Micro with ----------------- this Summer, let me know, I’d love to organize a virtual study group for us. Maybe we could even have a social distance study picnic one day! Sounds like we’ve got another competitive application cycle ahead of us; would love to help us ALL be stronger applicants!!
I just signed up with that professor! I’m taking section 21YN for lecture (12:30-1:30) and D2YN for lab (1:40-3:55). It’s the later one on Sat/Sun but still same professor and course. Completely down for that virtual study group after reading the reviews LOL

Awesome. If anyone wants to join a virtual study group for BIO 150 this Summer, please email me - ShowMeTheRN at gmail dot com.
Sounds like we could all use a little bit of encouragement over the next few months! ?

for all my applicants who got an “accidental” acceptance letter. This is what I just got.
It also states that TEAS will not be used for next cycle either. All I’m saying is if I am physically unable to improve my application, because I got a 4.0 and completed all my co-reqs and DID NOT get in this semester, why would I waste my time submitting another application next semester when it will be the same scenario. Too many applicants, no way to differentiate.
This is so disappointing. The whole point of it being a “competitive” program, is that we can take this exam and improve our score and give us a better chance.
I would apply again! It doesn’t cost anything, takes 5 minutes, and if it was a luck of the draw thing maybe you’ll get lucky next time. I wouldn’t put all my hopes and dreams on it, but I would at least apply again.

I took Prof --------------------------- and thought it was a good class. She is hard to hear (so sit near the middle front of lab, if it’s at Annandale the opposite side from the big fume hoods). She is a tough grader, but her study guide is good. It’s a ton of material so not easy no matter who you take. I had her for an online class in a fall semester with 3 full days of lab.
Oh, and if you haven’t used a microscope before watch some videos on how to use one properly (focus in low power first, how to advance, how to use oil immersion). That was the cause of the worst of the struggles in my lab section.

Reviewing your A&P will always help. There isn’t a ton of time to review your A&P for each section. You will need your shot record if you can track that down. If you don’t have a PCP establish one for the physical etc, though you can’t get the physical until you have the form. Save money for the start up expenses, it ends up being like $2000 in books, uniforms, supplies, fees. Though most of that is just a one time initial expense.
