how was your experience with castlebranch? I've heard weird rumors about the company and worried when I saw it mentioned in the email (no idea how to purchase it right now, I assume they'll let us know?)
Directions for CB Package/ Drug Screen are on pg 4 of the letter.

Castlebranch was fine. They get super backlogged right when the semester starts so best to get your stuff in as soon as possible. But if they’re behind it doesn’t impact you (other than the stress) so that’s fine. I had issues with my shot record being delayed and not realizing I needed a chickenpox/varicella titer since I had chickenpox, not the vaccine. So it was super stressful and down to the wire. But if you can jump on it fast then it’s not so bad.
I have an Amazon wishlist with some of the items that worked well if y’all start a FB group.

If you don’t have a PCP establish one for the physical etc, though you can’t get the physical until you have the form. Save money for the start up expenses, it ends up being like $2000 in books, uniforms, supplies, fees. Though most of that is just a one time initial expense.
My cousin is offering me her books from nursing school but I don’t even know if it’ll be the same books. She has the ATI books, are those the books used in NOVAs program?

Would you be able to share your amazon wishlist to give an idea of what we need?

The ATI books are used but at least in our case had to be purchased with an online access. So secondhand didn’t come in handy, but they could change that.
We have a big set from Pearson, 2 smaller textbooks, and the ATI bundle

Oh okay that makes sense. Do you think there’s a point to even take them from her then?

I would probably not for now, but if it turns out ATI has a digital only package that’s new then grab them. The other textbooks you could use secondhand if she has any of those.

Yes! Check out this Idea List on Amazon: Nursing supplies http://a.co/6Dl0QXJ
scrubs are hunter green bottoms, and white vneck tops. These are the ones I liked, I got them at the uniform store at Potomac Mills with their student discount. It’s a great way to try on a couple of styles.
This brand shoe Nursemates is great, though everyone I know likes a different style. They need to be like 99% white and wipe clean, and they have said no clogs.
The cohort behind me they had them switch to scrub jackets but not sure about y’all.
Definitely go to the Etsy link in the description for name tags, the bookstore is horrible for that and these are so inexpensive and fast.
the prettier LED penlights available are way too bright for what we need. The cheap ones listed here are the way to go.

Thank you so much! She told me she only has the ATI books. But thank you again for answering both my questions! You are awesome, I appreciate your help!
