  1. Yes!! Also love the idea of a facebook group.
  2. CONGRATULATIONS! I was really moved by your post last week about breathing, adaptability, and patience...it really helped me calm down on a really stressful day. I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed for you and am so happy for you!! Welcome to the cohort!
  3. I’m in too! Congratulations to everyone accepted, can’t wait to meet you all! ❤️
  4. I don’t think so! I think it’s an opportunity to learn more and ask questions, even though there’s a lot of good info on their website. I’m happy to share my notes, if you (or anyone else!) is interested in the program but can’t attend the webinar.
  5. That’s probably not a bad idea, but fingers crossed we won’t need to! I’m hoping we’ll know NOVA’s decisions by the 5th and definitely by the 12th so we can decide which one(s) are worth it to attend. Do those webinars fill up? If so, it may be a good idea to sign up now to save your spot, then you can cancel later when decisions go out from NOVA!
  6. Me too, @Soup1998! there is a similar webinar for the co-enrollment program on November 5 that I’m signed up for, you can find more info here: https://calendar.gmu.edu/event/rntobsnco-enrollment-programs-information-session-3/
  7. I believe so. I recently moved between local counties and asked before applying if it made a difference, and they said no!
  8. I’m subscribed to the MEC blog and got an email today about a virtual RN-BSN transfer event on Wednesday (10/14). I know these have been open to prospective and incoming nursing students in the past, wanted to share here since we’ve been talking so much about co-enrollment and the Advance program! https://blogs.nvcc.edu/mecexchange/2020/10/12/attention-october-14th-RN-to-BSN-transfer-event/
  9. Last year’s cohort got their decisions on October 26, and earlier in this thread MEC said they’re working ahead of schedule this year. My guess (my hope!) is within the next week or two! I’m with both you and @Molly15 — super nervous and dreading it but also so anxious to know either way. Being in limbo and unable to make plans for the next few months is a real challenge!
  10. Does this mean that decisions could go out as early as next week? That would be 3 weeks ahead of last year!
  11. Thank you so much for the update! It’s really comforting to know where we are in the process! Looking back at last year’s thread, it looks like this step was completed around Oct 4 last year, and decisions were announced three weeks later on the 25th. Major kudos to the staff for working through these so quickly with nearly 3x the number of applications!
  12. Same! 4.0, 4/4 co-reqs completed, and I live in Alexandria. With a “perfect” application I felt cautiously optimistic, but now I’m more cautious than optimistic LOL. I have to think though that the increase is due to people pursuing nursing in response to the pandemic, in which case there’s no way that people have been able to get a lot of the co-reqs under their belt during the Summer session. My guess is that there are a lot of applications with only BIO 141 and PSY 230 done. I totally get it - the circumstances this year are so unique - but man! The stress is REAL! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you all! ❤️
  13. After being rejected last cycle, I hustled to take my final two co-requisites in six weeks this Summer. It was tough and exhausting but I did it, and I just re-applied today with everything complete. Feeling very excited and very nervous! Good luck to you all!!
  14. I haven’t applied yet, but for my fall application it took about 2 weeks for me to get the Step 2 email. I know it’s easier said than done, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much quite yet. Good luck!!
  15. OMG! CONGRATS! Would you mind sharing your stats? Pre-req grades, co-recs completed, and county of residence?
