  1. We were able to choose between 2 different dates for the clinical because of COVID and it’s alternating every other week. We had to pick between last week of January or first week of February to start it.
  2. Would anyone want to be in some kind of group chat for those who were accepted (groupme or whatsapp)? Other than from the symposium I want to try to get to know some of the people! I figured it would also help with the castlebranch if we have any questions.
  3. Thank you! I was going to make one just in case since I wasn’t sure how busy it might be. Did we need to fast or anything or just go in
  4. Hey! For those who were accepted, do you know which specific test we need for the drug screening? The test name on the registration form doesn't match anything on the Quest website (10 Panel Urine + OPI + MDMA) when trying to make an appointment.
  5. Hello! I fully understand your frustration. You should get an email, whether or not it's an acceptance. This was my second time applying and I have roughly a 3.8 GPA (which went down from the last application cycle because of my BIO150 grade over the Summer).
  6. I'm not sure when everyone else's came out, but mine was in my inbox just before 1PM (at 12:48 to be exact). They might be doing them in batches to make it easier?
  7. Yes! I received my acceptance letter just before 1pm, but not everyone has gotten theirs yet. I would just keep checking throughout the day.
  8. Just got my provisional acceptance email!! My anxiety had been through the roof thinking I wasn’t going to get in again. Congrats to everyone else who got in and cannot wait to meet everyone ?
  9. Has anyone noticed they changed the application dates for future semesters? These are the new dates: March 1-15 to start in August September 1-15 to start in January Does anyone know why they would change it? The only thing I can think of is to possibly limit the amount of applications since it will be a shorter deadline and some people wait until the last minute to apply. There's also an announcement that the decision on whether or not to waive the TEAS again would be made around the time we should hear back on our applications (so maybe in the next week or two).
  10. You can call advising or chat with them online, which is what I did. I essentially told them my situation and that I wanted to stay at NOVA until I got the decision about nursing and that I might as well take the courses I'll need for Mason. I chose Social Sciences/Psychology. It allowed me to take the rest of the MASONCORE requirements and since those courses were listed under the new major, I was able to have financial aid cover all of it. Hope this helps!
  11. If you get accepted into the nursing program for NOVA, do you still have to have under 30 credits to be eligible to apply for ADVANCE?
  12. Hello! I was not 100% sure if this was towards me, but this is what I have/will have completed for each requirement. Written Comm (6cr) : ENG111/ENG112 Oral Comm (3cr) : CST110 IT and Comp (3 cr) : ITE115 Literature (3cr) : ENG253 Arts (3cr) : ART106 Social/Behavioral Sci (3cr) : PSY200, PSY230, SOC200 Global Understanding (3cr) : PSY219 Western Civ/World History (3cr) : HIS101 Mason also has some pre-reqs on top of this. Anatomy & Physiology (8cr) -- BIO141/142 Microbiology (4cr) -- BIO150 Bioethics (3cr) -- PHI227 Statistics (3cr) -- MTH245 Human-Lifespan Development (3cr) -- PSY230 Nutrition (3cr) -- DIT121 7cr electives
  13. Ah, I see. I'll be finishing up the courses for Mason this semester so if I don't get in I'll try Mason (or switch majors if I don't get into Mason's).
  14. Hey! I'm considering about applying as well in case I get rejected again. Just make sure you have all of the MASONCORE courses done before the application deadline because that is part of their requirements.
  15. Mason requires you to take MASONCORE classes in order to be eligible to apply. I'm finishing up the rest of the requirements for Mason this semester in case I don't get in again at NOVA. I already finished the classes available for General Studies so I added Social Sciences/Psychology so that I could finish the MASONCORE classes and have financial aid cover it for this semester.
