Pretty much! We use a couple of giant textbooks for all 4 semesters and 2 supplemental textbooks. It is a big expense up front but then we don’t have to buy anymore after that point.

Got it - thanks again for all of your help.

Assuming we all get in (good vibes!), is anyone else going to try to squeeze in another co-req in the second Summer term? I’d love to get as many of those out of the way as possible so I can focus on the nursing classes, especially since I’ll need to work full-time (or close to it) during the program.

Or, has anyone taken Microbiology in a shortened term that can weigh in on how difficult it is to do?

I did the 6-wk Micro (w/ ****** *****) last Summer and it was very doable.

I’ve completed all my co-req prior to applying for nursing school. Currently working on BSN classes.

We are looking for second-year students or Nursing grads to help host some panels for our incoming class. If interested please email [email protected] and tell them you'd be into helping give a brief talk to incoming students.

What Electives should I take for prerequisites? Does anyone took his 101 and applied for this nursing program? Does it count as elective course?

Thank you in advance.

You can take any elective, but I would recommend a math class or English 112. You’ll need them in the future if you want to go for a BSN program. My other recommendations would be sociology 200 or psychology 200.

Thank you. Turns out HIS 101 is not part of the Hum elective classes. I don’t know why they say OK for HIS.

It is clear now. Thank you.

Has anyone heard when the testing center will reopen? I have taken 1 attempt at the TEAS but would like to improve my score with my other 2 attempts....if I don't get in for the fall, I will apply for the Spring 2021 but the application period for that is July20-Sept20. If the testing center only repopen in August when the semester starts I will not have time to take my 2 more attempts. What are the odds that the TEAS will be waived again for Spring??? WOW!, that would be nice LOL

They said they will announce on July 17, 2020 about TEAS exam. I marked my calendar so any changes I will post it. They may extend the application process but I highly doubt they will waive the TEAS exam this time. NOVA is opening their campuses this coming fall (this is just assumption b/c most of the colleges are thinking to open this coming fall.
