Nvcc fall 2016

Published

Hi,

I just need some insight from all of you...I am planning to apply for nursing at NVCC for fall 2016. I have finished all my prerequisites and general requirement with the gpa of 3.7 but my teas score is on the lower side. I still have two chances to take it again but the student services have told me that since I passed I can't take it again. Is it true? If I were to take it again, will the nursing team take my highest score for consideration? Any help will be appreciated! 😊

Maybe they were referring to LPN to RN. I was under the impression that I would get an email saying I got rejected. This is really unorganized and unfair. I am pregnant and this is really stressing me out. I feel like they should notify everyone at the same time and call it a day.

Since LPN to RN just received their notifications today, I agree with ethioden that they may have been referring to the LPN to RN program. Did anyone who called specify that they were inquiring about the traditional program?

Yes, I specifically said Traditional Nursing Program.

I just spoke with someone as well, and they said that they were still notifying both the traditional and LPN to RN program. Keeping my fingers crossed that more of us get notified today. I hope whoever runs this facebook page is held accountable for all the chaos that the posts have caused.

Hopefully a email can come in so I can move on and see what I can do! Thanks for checking guys! I won't relied on the facebook. Just keep your finger cross!!

Does anyone know about Saint Michaels College of Allied Health in Alexandria?

I have a feeling they sent out all the acceptances but have not finished sending out the rest of the emails aka rejection ones.. It is weird though - the Facebook person is the worst haha. I guess we just have to wait and see.

My house is 2 mins away from the area where that "school" supposedly is and I didn't even know there was a "nursing school" around my house at all, which made it seem very sketchy to me. Nonetheless, I still looked it up yesterday and read very minimal reviews, but people said it was a complete scam. That once they took their money, that was it. I wouldn't trust it...

Ya I figured it was a scam like ECPI. That's how all those for profit schools are. I was just looking at the accredited nursing programs on the Virginia Board of Nursing site and St. Michaels was listed and I thought it was strange I never heard of it either!

Try Marymount !!!

I applied to Marymount last year and didn't get in - it's extremely competitive. I went there for undergrad too and that didn't help me but I have improved my grades since so maybe with better teas scores and grades odds are better!

I just signed up for an information session there!
