Nvcc fall 2016

Published

Hi,

I just need some insight from all of you...I am planning to apply for nursing at NVCC for fall 2016. I have finished all my prerequisites and general requirement with the gpa of 3.7 but my teas score is on the lower side. I still have two chances to take it again but the student services have told me that since I passed I can't take it again. Is it true? If I were to take it again, will the nursing team take my highest score for consideration? Any help will be appreciated! 😊

Congratulations! So exciting for you!! Do you guys think they sent out acceptance emails all together today?

Congrats! - one of my friends just heard she was accepted as well..

A new post on the fb page-

"Nursing applicants please check your emails for letters of acceptance and instructions. Only students that were accepted were contacted by the nursing division. The rest will be contacted at a later date."

Well... I guess that's that if everyone who got accepted has already heard back [emoji20]

Its weird that only one person on here said they got an email

"We use a bulk email process on campus. They would have sent all accepted students an email at the same time. One batch email to LPN to RNs and one to Traditional nursing students."

Just saw this on facebook. Sounds like they notified everyone who was accepted already.

I find it extremely weird that only one person on here got an email also... wow. This is truly upsetting. I can't believe that they didn't give more of a chance to students instead of just 24%.

I can't wrap my head around it...

Well that was painfully fast :(

Yeah I just read that they sent out the acceptance email in a bulk email. So so upset. í ½í¸”

I am still going to hope that someone declined their acceptance and then maybe we will find out tomorrow we got in. If not I suppose I will try to raise my TEAs scores and apply for they hybrid program starting January 2017. I'm curious what the GPA and TEAs scores were for the people who got in, my GPA was pretty good, somewhere around a 3.6 or 3.7 and other than grammar my TEAs scores were in the high 80s.

Its all really bizarre because those are good scores and I know someone who had similar ones who got in.. I'm just really curious what the formula was for accepting students..

I don't understand why 24% !!????? This year is the smallest class but congrats who got in

Why lower scores to open the application to more people if you don't inted on accepting more people. This is ridiculous. I was accepted last year to the Traditional Nursing program and opted out because i wanted to be more financially ready and I am regretting this decision more than I can explain...
