  1. Thank you! I thought this day would never come. The last time I took the TEAS was a few years ago, before they added the science category. I had a 86% in reading, 75% in english, and my lowest score was math at 70%. I actually ran out of time on the math section and guessed on the last questions, so I was surprised that I even got a 70%. I had purchased the online practice test to retake them, but then they announced they were being waived for this application cycle. So in my case that worked in my favor. I really feel for the people who took the TEAS and scored well on them, only to have them not even considered. I would be really frustrated if it were me. I even re took BIO 141 and 142 to get better grades, which I'm so glad I did. Dr. Paul Lea at Annandale campus is absolutely amazing for anyone looking to retake those classes. But his class fills up fast so do it early!
  2. Hi guys! I don’t comment much on here but I’ve been stalking this thread like crazy since applying LOL. But I just got my acceptance letter! I’m sooo happy! This was my third time applying in the past few years. I hadn’t retaken the TEAS (they are expired) so I just had to hope that my pre-req grades and my completion of co-reqs were enough to be accepted. For those who weren’t accepted, don’t lose hope! I had nearly given up until now. This is what I had: A in all pre-reqs accept for PSY 230 (I got a B) an A in bio 142, B in BIO 150, A in CST 229. Plus a bunch of other classes since I just finished my general studies degree at nova. But the ones I listed are the ones that count though. I really didn’t know what to expect, I’m just on cloud nine right now! CONGRATS to everyone who was accepted!
  3. Hi! I was not accepted and have a 3.8, B's only in the science classes, scored in 60's for math and 83% and 74% for reading and English. Also I have taken all the co requisites. I'm retaking both sciences right now and am retaking the teas in the spring. I applied for both the traditional and the hybrid track and wasn't accepted to either. I think whoever got accepted can help you better though, from what I've seen those people had A's in the sciences/high gpa, and scored in very high 80's and 90's for the teas exam. Hope this helps and good luck to you!
  4. Hey all, just got my rejection letter. My understanding is that's it's a generic letter, but it's addressed to someone named Reilly Colville, which is not me. I just think it's a little impersonal if all of them say that on them. Or to get the name wrong? Shouldn't they take the time to at least address the right student? Weird. Big congratulations to all those who did get in! Be proud of yourselves. Anyone else who gets a rejection letter Im just curious to know if it says your name on letter. Because the letter was an attachment in the email, leading me to believe all of them say it?
  5. What is the domicile review again? I didn't get one of those
  6. I finally got mine yesterday too. Took outrageously long. I'm guessing it will take another two weeks before decisions are sent out? Hopefully shorter
  7. : ( I had a feeling that was the case. I guess this spring when retaking my TEAS I'll have to do almost perfect on them. Hopefully I'll finish the sciences with an A this time. I've taken everything else. That's all I can do. *Sigh* is right mp3921. Now I've def given up hope I was accepted this time around
  8. No but I saw on the MEC Facebook page this morning that they are Reviewing the last batch of nursing applications! Hopefully that means in the next two days we will at least get a verification email
  9. No email over here yet either. I'm assuming they are still going through applications. Hopefully we will hear by Wednesday.
  10. When did you get the confirmation email ido729?? Also did you send it in earlier or later in the application window? Just curious because I sent mine in the last week
  11. Hi all, I recognize a couple of your names from the spring 2016 application thread. I wasn't accepted into the spring traditional program either, and I have applied to the hybrid one. I haven't had time to retake my TEAS, but I am taking BIO 141 (previously finished NAS 161 and 162 with B's in both) in hopes of finishing with an A this time. That way if I don't get accepted into the hybrid either, I'll reapply to the spring tradtitional program again with more competitive grades. Anyway, I have yet to hear anything back about my application either. I'm assuming a lot of people applied again. I'm not getting my hopes up this time though. I'm already preparing for if I don't get accepted. I'm really hoping I do though. I've taken all the other classes and finished with A's, my only B's are the two sciences. My scores are so so in math and english for TEAS. Scored in the 80's for reading. But good luck to all of you! I hope we are all accepted. Post here if you hear anything about your application!
  12. I didn't get any rejection email either, they must of dropped the ball on this one if at least a few of us haven't received one. It makes you think our applications were forgotten about almost
  13. I looked into chamberlain last year myself, the 3 year bsn is very appealing. I decided against it because I feel like even though it's legit, at least nova produces good nurses, I don't know that about chamberlain as of yet. I looked into Marymounts nursing program and really want to apply, And besides their pre reqs, there are their core requirements which I could complete at nova, but I don't think I can finish all the classes before their spring application deadline. So that means more waiting : ( I, like someone else said don't have time to wait a year+ before even applying to another nursing program, but I might have no choice. If I don't get accepted into the hybrid I'll of course still apply to nova again next spring, just so mad I have to wait so long.
  14. If any of you guys live semi close to Shenandoah university I would recommend there for nursing, I would love to go there but way to far out for me.
