NVCC applying for Fall of 2014. Class of 2016

Hey guys,

I started this thread in hopes of connecting with people who applied for the Traditional Nursing program at NVCC. I have been corresponding with them via e-mail and am anxiously awaiting an acceptance letter. Hope everyone else submitted their applications without issue! Maybe we can cheer each other on :)

Has anyone placed an order for the nurse kit yet? I was wondering if anyone knows if they require us to buy the items from that company. As I mentioned before I already own a stethoscope and I don't want to buy another one yet again and I was looking at uniform city's website and saw they have all the items that the kit asks for for a decent price so does anyone think they will be strict about where we purchase this from?

nevermind I just read the small print on blackboard and it says we can :)

Yes I ordered my nurse kit separately from a different website and it looks like it's the same thing they listed on blackboard. Happy shopping ?

As long as you have all the items in the nurse kit it's ok. You don't need to buy it from the company :)

Working on my checklist today, I'm doing the VCCS Attrition Risk Assessment Tool, and it's asking for COMPASS test scores. Does anyone know what that is?

I have no idea what that is. I did it and left those two questions blank. It says we have multiple attempts. If they tell us what it is at orientation I'll go back and fill that in.
