NVCC applying for Fall of 2014. Class of 2016

Hey guys,

I started this thread in hopes of connecting with people who applied for the Traditional Nursing program at NVCC. I have been corresponding with them via e-mail and am anxiously awaiting an acceptance letter. Hope everyone else submitted their applications without issue! Maybe we can cheer each other on :)

Yep I used NV17 and it's still under the 2013 cohort.

I don't see how it could be a typo. Maybe the C and the V being next to each other on the keyboard, but 7 & 3 are nowhere near each other.

Yeah no I see the C and V but def not the 7 and 3...I emailed Ms. Brown regarding why it states 2013 instead of 2014 and even sent her a print screen shot last Friday however she never responded so I'm thinking I'll probably bring it up July 22nd. I mean seems like everyone is under 2013 so it's on their end. I even called Certified Profile and they told me it was the schools fault because they didn't update the package...should someone re-email Ms. Brown regarding this or just leave it till the 22nd?

Well, I don't want to be the one to contact them again since I've already spoken to both of them, don't want to be a nag. Maybe someone else can email and say something like "hey, I saw the email and it seems like there's a problem with my profile but that's not the code I had"? I dunno. Maybe we should just leave it too. They told me since we paid and ordered that we were good and they'd fix it. Blah! Too much stress over little stuff. I'd like to save it for actual classes! Heh :)

I emailed the lady linked in the email and she is the person to contact to fix the mistake. Not sure why it said NC13, but she said it was a system error and she will change me to the correct section. So if you are in the 2013 year, email her!

this is what I sent:

Hello,

I mistakenly registered my Certified Profile for 2013 instead of 2014. Thank you in advance!

this is what she replied with:

Good evening,

The error was within the system - not your fault. I will change you to the correct section NC 14.

Hey, have you guys gotten your approval on your liability yet from NSO? It's been a week now since I applied for it and I haven't gotten my policy or heard anything back from them yet.

Edit: sorry, just created an account and see it's there and active. I never got an email though :/

I also have not received an email. I will call tomorrow to see what is going on. I'm glad I am not the only one.

Sorry, ignore the above message. I just looked in my junk mail and I received the email with my on Friday. Check your junk mail, it may be in there.

Did anyone see the announcements that were posted today? It didn't show up on my notifications but apparently it was updated this morning. I'm confused about the this announcement:

"The list of assigned clinical sites for NUR 111 are located under the "Registration/Books" tab in "Registration Information" folder."

Can anyone else find this on blackboard?

So I thought I'd let you guys know,

I ordered 2 name badges from Office Depot (item #333630) for a total of $18.00, it was free shipping to pick up in store and will be ready by July 16. A far cry cheaper than the $20/ea they have on the uniform list!

I ordered 2 name badges from Office Depot (item #333630) for a total of $18.00, it was free shipping to pick up in store and will be ready by July 16. A far cry cheaper than the $20/ea they have on the uniform list!

I did mine through mynamebadges.com and it was like $6/each for two so a total of $12. Why any name badge is above just a few bucks is beyond me, it probably costs them pennies to make. :sniff:

What's going on with the certifiedprofile thing by the way, does anyone know? All my stuff says overdue since it's the 2013 list and I used the regular NV17 code, not the NC13 code that the announcement and email says.

Also, how do we even send in our shot records and do we just walk into one of the locations for the drug test or do we have to call ahead? This is all so confusing, there are no explanations at all! :arghh:
