NVCC applying for Fall of 2014. Class of 2016

Hey guys,

I started this thread in hopes of connecting with people who applied for the Traditional Nursing program at NVCC. I have been corresponding with them via e-mail and am anxiously awaiting an acceptance letter. Hope everyone else submitted their applications without issue! Maybe we can cheer each other on :)

No clue on the profile issue. I think I'm going to drop a line tomorrow again about mine.

Dangit, well I was a little nervous about using someone I didn't know for the badge. Ah well!

Our vaccine stuff is supposed to be submitted on certified profile.

Did you email the lady that was sent in the link? I emailed her saying I am registered under 2013 and need to be under 2014 please yesterday and I still haven't gotten a response and I'm still under 2013 cohort :/ so I was wondering if maybe she never got my email and seeing if you got a reply?

Did you get the badge from the campus? I still need to buy that and I"m unsure if I want to get it from the cheaper suggestions or the nova one but $20 for one is insane!

I emailed her today so she hasn't replied to me yet, but I am in the 2013 cohort as well. I would just try to relax, it's obvious that everyone is experiencing this problem so if you sent her an email you should be fine. It must be something that they messed up on their end.

And yes, $20 is too expensive for me as well. This program is gouging my wallet enough already :crying2: so now I'm trying to pinch pennies wherever I can haha. Try mynamebadges.com, office depot, or staples. I ordered mine off mynamebadges.com for $12 total (for two badges), I haven't received them yet though.

Haha okay. I'm just mad paranoid that maybe my email won't work because Ms. Brown never replied back to my email when I emailed her about the 2013 issue and now that I emailed this new person I still haven't gotten a response and I don't want to be kicked out of the program for something dumb you know? Lol I think I'm being overly paranoid but there's just so much we have to do in order to get into it and start that it's overwhelming in case you forgot to do something or anything along those lines and get your acceptance revoked.

Do you guys understand how to submit the immunization records in the tracker? Are we suppose to ask our physicians to give us a record for each individual immunization and then scan them in individually to each section?? I'm so confused!

I believe we must ask for the actual immunization results and scan them into each individual section. However I noticed the immunization and aren't most of them those ones we got when we were younger? For example the chicken pox one, isn't that just a one time vaccine type of thing when you're younger? So do we have to like just do a blood test and show the results about us having the positive antibodies and upload those instead of another vaccine? I'm so lost with this all lol

The immunization records are kept in an online database where physicians can access them. They are usually printed out all together with dates and vaccines that were administered to each patient since you were young. What I wasn't sure about was if in the tracker we needed each individual vaccine to be submitted separately. But I guess you are right, I could submit the same immunization record as a whole into each section.
