I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

I want to ask both of you, have you received a letter from NVC saying that you are reserved a visa number? according to Suzanne4, if you do, you are safe; if not, start from Nov, you need to have a current PD date.
If you receive the Packet 4 then a visa is reserve for you. A visa number is just a number for your papers to be track down easily.

I am still waiting for my P4. the good thing is that my PD is before Oct.1, 2005. Hope I will be scheduled in Nov. provided there are still visa numbers left.
try to stay away from those bad agencies as far as possible. they are blood suckers!
hi! anyone here scheduled for interview this november? im just so scared of how this retrogression will affect me. my case was completed on aug.29,2006. i know i have batchmates here, guys? do u have an interview sked already? oh, can you give me the email address of the nvc? that would be very much appreciated. thanks a lot
hi! bottomless_appetitie...wer are batchmates, my case completion was aug 23 however my priority date was nov 2005 so i guess i am affected by retrogression. how about you, when was your priority date? received email from nvc today. no update yet. same message eversince.

your inquiry has been received at the national visa center (nvc).
all documentation necessary to complete the national visa center's processing has been received. as soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the designated representative of this case (attorney) will be notified. the us embassy may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.
i haven't heard of anyone here with a november schedule already. i guess it the schedule is not out yet.
i emailed my lawyer and she said i am affected by retrogression but i don't know if it is true because she does not even know that my case has already been completed. i guess we will just have to update oureslves directly from nvc.
i told her that it was completed aug 23 but she said she has not received any letter from nvc that it was already completed. but the voice message when i called nvc states a completion of aug 23

I know of people who have priority dates after the cut-off like Jan 2006 who have already been interviewed this October. If this is the case, then I guess there are only very few people with priority dates before the cut-off who has not yet ben interviewed, right? so that means we still have a chance if we have November and December 2005 priority dates.

my pd is july 2005, i-140 approved on april 2006, (9mos. long wait), paid bills, submitted ds230 and biographical passport, my case has been done in nvc and forwarded my case to london since aug 2006. i have a word from the us consulate that i "may" get slot for interview & medical (pkt-4) by nov, provided my pd is current...as of now the retrogressed date started from 01-oct-2005 for ex-schedule-a, so far im still waiting for the pkt-4 till the end of this month to come... i don't want to listen to a rumor that by next december bulletin, the schedule-a will be erased and be transferred instead to eb3... what a nightmare it would be!.. 3-5 years of wait is a doom!.. i'd rather go to australia then... the processing here in london maybe a bit different from our place.

I think your the best person to ask here... I just want to ask some tips, when you went there (US) as well as important things or things that really matters to bring. We will go there most probably this coming january or february next year. So, i really need some tips at least it could really help a lot. My agency want me to have my review in nclex here before i will go there and it will end in december.
