I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

Hi! Has anyone here already been scheduled for November? Those with Aug or September completion date, have you been scheduled for November?
I am a bit confused about the November visa bulletin. Since it has a cut-off of October 2005 priority date, does it mean that I am affected?
My priority date was November 28, 2005. But review of my case(packet 3) was already completed by NVC last Aug 23. does this mean that I will still be affected? eventhough everything has already been completed and just waiting for an interview schedule? because some nurses have priority dates before October 2005 but since they still have not completed the review of their packet 3, does this mean that they will still be interviewed ahead of me?

we are on the same boat. mine was completed last september but my priority date is December 8, 2005. i was thinking since October is not over yet we may have a chance that we will get an interview schedule. If not, I guess we will have to wait.
agp_ph and Leis 23:I want to ask both of you, have you received a letter from NVC saying that you are reserved a visa number? according to Suzanne4, if you do, you are safe; if not, start from Nov, you need to have a current PD date.
no, i have not received a letter from the NVC about a reserved visa number. but i have to ask my lawyer. all correspondence go through him first.
The Importance of Becoming "Documentarily Qualified"
All case processing for Manila, including appointment scheduling, is generally done at the National Visa Center (NVC) in the U.S. An applicant's case number does not determine his or her position in the scheduling queue. Once a case is current, the applicant's place in the scheduling queue will be determined by the date all the necessary, completed documents are received at NVC and the case becomes "documentarily qualified."
Hi guys! I got this quote from the US embassy Manila website. I am confuse in what it really means. I hope it means that once your case has been completed by NVC (becoming documentarily qualified), you are already in line for an interview eventhough my priority date is after the cut-off? I really hope it means that... What is your opinion?

Same with me. Did not received a letter concerning a reserved visa. I emailed NVC last Tuesday but they have not replied yet.

Lets hope we will still be included in the November interview despite having a priority date after the cut-off. I have not heard from anyone here yet if the November interview schedule is already out.

according to what i've read from a few AILA member websites like the following:
Note that employers can continue to file I-140 petitions and the USCIS can and will continue to approve those petitions. Furthermore, the NVC has confirmed that they currently plan to continue to receive the approved I-140 petitions from the USCIS and conduct "pre-processing" for interviews. However, Consulates will discontinue interviews and granting immigrant visas for Schedule A petitions not filed prior to October 1, 2005.

So, this means we really have to wait.
While NVC only sent me a letter saying my case was transfered to embassy. no mention of any visa number reserved. I hope they did.
my lawyer said visa number was issued at the interview. Suzanne4 said they usually reserved a visa number from NVC and embassy simply issue the visa. I am confused.

Does the NVC really send a letter stating a reserved visa? Because from what I gathered from other nurses. After completion of the case, the next thing that will happen is they send the appointment letter.
Did anyone here ever received a letter from NVC stating a reserved visa for you? Anyone? please let us know. thanks

Your PD is July 2005 and based on the November Visa Bulletin that it will retrogress to Oct 2005. If your case in the NVC is completed then you will receive your Packet 4 in due time because your PD is current.
