NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

well, let's just wait guys. i firmly believe the US Congress will act on the immigration law soon. they can't let the nursing shortage continue. take note that the 50,000 recaptured visa does not really mean 50,000 nurses went to the states last year and this year..families and PTs are included there. So, i believe there will be an action soon. let's keep on praying.

While NVC only sent me a letter saying my case was transfered to embassy. no mention of any visa number reserved. I hope they did.

my lawyer said visa number was issued at the interview. Suzanne4 said they usually reserved a visa number from NVC and embassy simply issue the visa. I am confused.

when was your case transferred to the embassy?

when was your case transferred to the embassy?

August, still waiting for P4

The Importance of Becoming "Documentarily Qualified"

All case processing for Manila, including appointment scheduling, is generally done at the National Visa Center (NVC) in the U.S. An applicant's case number does not determine his or her position in the scheduling queue. Once a case is current, the applicant's place in the scheduling queue will be determined by the date all the necessary, completed documents are received at NVC and the case becomes "documentarily qualified."

Hi guys! I got this quote from the US embassy Manila website. I am confuse in what it really means. I hope it means that once your case has been completed by NVC (becoming documentarily qualified), you are already in line for an interview eventhough my priority date is after the cut-off? I really hope it means that... What is your opinion?

it says how you queue for interview in Manila, nothing to do with visa number.

August, still waiting for P4

How come you still don't have an interview schedule? Those whose cases were forwarded to Manila last Sept.11 already had October interview schedules. In fact those who had their cases completed August 19 were able to make it on the September 11 batch and had their interview scheds this October.

You should check out your case why you are not yet scheduled.

so finally my case moved, approved in may 2006, paid for my dependents'visas in june right away but later found nvc received only the payment in August, then packet3 received by NVC September, and now--this retrogression again. My case is under process (still), dunno why, and now Nov cut-off is oct 2005! Wow! Now I really know what patience means (PD is Dec 2005). Well, we can only hope & amuse ourselves in the meantime, and I just say ""ïf it comes, it comes"..Let's get on with our lives and believe that there really is destiny for each one of us--I wish you all peace of mind and success at the pre-destined time.

Hey i think my post got cut somewhere...anyways, i was saying hi agp_ph, leis23, futureusrn, heinrick & all1..I know how it feels--almost there but not quite!--and i was saying how i was caught up by retrogression in 2004, got fooled by agency in 2005 (was waiting for nothing) after hurdling all exams incl. visascreen at my expense, then was just filed dec 2005 (cried terribly last year) and then this retrogression again.

hi mariel7! hang in there. let's be positive about things. i really believe a solution is at hand. :) although we just have to wait a little bit more. God bless! :)

Hi! anyone here scheduled for interview this november? Im just so scared of how this retrogression will affect me. My case was completed on Aug.29,2006. I know I have batchmates here, guys? do u have an interview sked already? Oh, can you give me the email address of the NVC? that would be very much appreciated. thanks a lot

Hi guys!

I guess we don't have any other choice but to wait out this retrogression. If we still don't get our sched of interview before november then i believe that we're already affected by retro. BTW, you could email nvc at [email protected]

Goodluck to us all :)

We were in the same situation. I passed all the required exams in 2003. I chose an agency which I thought was offering the best benefits and contract, only to find out that my petition was abandoned by the employer after waiting for 2 1/2 years. It was just last year that i applied again, and this time i am talking directly with the employer and the atty since im the one paying for the atty's fee and all other application fees. Its kinda difficult to trust any agency here because they're just taking advantage of us. All my original documents were still with my former agency because they dont want to release them to me unless i pay the amount that they spent for me - exam fees, review fees, immigrant application fees, etc. But what about the time I wasted waiting for nothing. They want me to sign up with their other affiliate employers in the US but i decided not to. I lost my trust in them already.. Thats why I opted even to pay on my own just to make sure that everything will go smoothly. By the way, Ill be earning $32/hour, so its a good deal though. Incidentally, my priority date was Sept 2005, so im hoping that i will not be affected by the retrogression.:uhoh3:

Hi Josefa. We're in the same stage. I also just submitted my ds230 to nvc and still awaiting for the outcome of the review.. it's been two weeks now. Anyway, it's been a stressful week for us since the visa bulletin came out. We don't have much choice but to wait until visa numbers are available again. I've been on the computer almost the whole day yesterday hoping to find answers regarding the retrogression :o .

You have nothing to worry about you being pregnant. There are posts from other forums by nurses who became pregnant during the processing of their papers and everything just went well. Consider it a blessing, as they say pregnancy brings you luck.:balloons:

Pls let me know if your case is complete already. keep me posted.

Thank you for your response. I will let you know as soon as my case is completed. By the way, in what forum did you read anything about pregnant immigration applicant? Ive been browsing this "all nurses.com" forum and i havent encountered any conversation regarding pregnant applicant. It seems to me that indeed its not a big deal being pregnant, but i just want to make sure. Thanks.icon7.gif
