NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

hello to everyone...yes, ms. suzanne is right. Finally, I had spoken to an operator last night just to confirmed the status of my case (after 10 minutes of waiting). She said that my case was completed already (same message that I've been hearing all the time through automated response) but there is no visa allocated to me. Furthermore, I've asked her when could we expect to receive an appointment for an interview and told me she can't predict anything as visa is not available for our category. It's not surprising though, but quite frustrating...

But as I've said, we should not lose hope, eventually, this too shall pass..Just update each other to lessen our confusion and everything... just like anybody else, been trying to keep myself busy but been trying all the time to log in on this forum...it's a big help..thanks to you guys.

Hello:idea:

still they haven't filed back my updated DS230 form back to NVC. As you know my Priority date is May 2006, I was documentarily qualified last October 10, 2006 just as when retrogression sets in. This July 2007 since it is now current I called NVC and NVC ask for my updated DS230 form, i told my lawyer about this and they were surprised too and thus they assume that this is a delaying tactic of the NVC since it is now current those who are in the US applying for AOS will be the one who benefits from it thus 60,000 visas allocated for FY 2007 are all used up. My lawyer will not file updated DS230 since this will all be useless from now, they will only file it once an new group say Schedule A will be back in Line or else if we remain in EB3 i will take 4 to 5 years to get a visa and you will have to refile and refile another updated DS230....what can you say ????

DS230 forms expired in July and if NVC have asked for updated forms then it is your lawyers responsibility to send new ones to them, lawyers have been informed if new ones are required. It is not a delaying tactic by NVC they are justified in asking for updated ones and in fact many on here who are in this situation have had new forms completed and sent. Their files are in majority completed and are just waiting for new visas to be released. If your file is complete with the new forms then you are at a situation of good stand for a visa. Shame on your lawyer for waiting

Hi, I am going thru consular processing. My I-140 was filed with notice of receipt on March 2007. The last time I checked on-line, as of July 18, 2007, Nebraska VC is processing those with NOR of September 2006 so I estimated the waiting time for my I-140 approval of about 6 months more, at least. Texas VC is faster as they are already processing NOR of January 2007 (same cut-off period of July 2007).

As I browsed the USCIS web, there was this chart for the new fee schedule and the direct filing services for I-140 effective July 30, 2007 which is more specific. When before the I-140s were filed at NVC and then later on transferred to Texas VC, now, depending on the place of permanent employment, the I-140 should be filed on the specific service center.

For someone like me who's petitoned to work in Connecticut, my I-140 was filed at Nebraska VC with case no. LINxxxx. On the direct filing services chart, starting July 30, 2007, petitions whose permanent place of employment is CT should file at the Texas service center!!! Will my I-140 petition be transferred to TexasVC?

How about if apply for premium processing now??? Will it expedite the processing of my papers if I get I-140 approval before October 1, 2007? Or it will not matter as my petition will still be stucked with the retrogression??? Can you give me some advice??? Thanks a lot...

as far as I am aware premium process was stopped at the beginning of July and haven't seen anything to say they have started accepting it. Also has to be done before you file I think. All nurse I140 goes to Nebraska and they decide which centre to send it to ie keep it or send it to Texas. There is a thread tracking approval time line with Nebraska and may be work checking it out. Average time seems to be nearly 9 months to get approval.

Thanks for the reply, however, I've read in the website of uscis, that effective July 30, 2007, they are accepting premium processing for I-140 and I-129. Here's the link, please help me out if I didn't get it right...http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=79ef78264614d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Pls. enlighten me. Thanks

the link shows that for I140 premium processing is not available until further notice

premium processing

Ah ok, I misinterpreted it. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Also, the fee increases for USCIS services are only for those w/ new applications yet to be filed. Since you have filed the I-140 months ago, this does not cover you. The fee increases are for those filing starting August 1, 2007.

Additional FYI: The Visa Processing Fee bill (for those undergoing consular processing) is not part of the USCIS list of services. It is separate from them and so it remains at $380 and any future fee increase will be announced on their own website (under the US Dept. Of State website) and not on USCIS' website.

Hello.

Are you really saying that the visa processing bill for cp would still be $380?

Hello.

Are you really saying that the visa processing bill for cp would still be $380?

Last week, I got an email from my lawyer advising me to prepare a money order worth $380 for my wife's visa processing. My employer shoulders my IVFB.
