I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

God bless!
Hi Donty! I took before CGFNS before taking IELTS, then last came the NCLEX. After I graduated and passed the NLE, I was so in a hurry to take all the necessary exams thats needed for the US. Though during that time, didn't really know how things go abou(immigration process, etc...) all I know is that I want to finish those exams right away. In early 2005 with the first agency I had, they were able to file my I140 with just having the CGFNS, but it got denied due to "ability to pay". Was able to file I140 again through direct hire on Dec 2005 with CGFNS and IELTS passed, after a month I passed NCLEX. I don't know it makesa difference since taking the exams and immigration are two different things. I hope I was of help by sharing my experience
hi fruity.thanks for sharing your experience with me.it helped a lot!
Donty8:
Have you taken any of the exams at all as of yet? There is no reason to even take the CGFNS exam unless you are specifically going to a state that requires it. It is not a requirement otherwise to work in the US.
If you do not already have a visa to work and live in the US, then you need to have the NCLEX-RN exam passed before you can even start the petitioning process by an employer.
And if you do not already have a visa for the US to live and work here, there are no visas available for you to go any other route. Coming to the US to test and stay is not a viable alternative.

thanks ms. suzanne. im done with ielts and cgfns 2years ago and now i want to take nclex before i'll get my feet to US but my agency is holding me back from taking it because according to them my salary is waived, meaning that i will be receiving a starting salary that of a rn because since i havent taken nclex yet.but if ill take nclex before i arrive US and i fail it my salary upon arrival to US will be way too low and will only increase upon passing the nclex. i dont even know when i should start reviewing because i started openning my notes a year ago but got down-hearted with this unending retrogression issue.we'll thats my story and this is the reason behind my confussion.
hello to all! anyone willing to give input to my query please do so. my pd is feb 07.uscis processing is pacing like a turtle. my application is at
nebraska. would you recommend premium processing so that by the time visas get released in october, my application will be at the nvc already and not in uscis still?
After the VB fiasco,I already emailed NVC twice after which, its usually 2 weeks before NVC reply, Got an email from the NVC last Friday, still the same message... I emailed again and hoping i'd get the same message with agp_ph.
hello fruity..just want to know the exact message that you received from NVC. I emailed them last August 1 and still I have not received anything from them.Maybe I was not able to mention everything that they needed to answer for my inqeuries. Would you mind give me a sample of that letter.( I was hoping that I would also received the same message as agp_ph...it would at least make me happy.)
thanks a lot.God bless.

Hi pretty neirelle, when was your case completion date? I'm sure NVC will reply to your email but it may take some time for their reply.

Premium processing is not available at the moment and no telling when it will be available. Even if visas are released in October there are many more in front of you so seriously doubt you would get one. Once NVC have visas available they will ask for visa fee bill to be paid and then ask for DS230 forms to be completed and sent in, that alone can take several weeks. If you read among this thread you will see many waiting and EB3 is also covering a lot of other groups not just nurses
